I have the same problem. Sound plays way too fast in firmware v1.4, but I haven't looked into fixing it yet as I've been busy with other things. Does anyone else have a fix yet?
Paeryn, can you remove either one or both of the open2x directories, or even rename them? People on case-insensitive filesystems are having problems while unpacking the archive...

Compiled with the latest of everything, the SDL parts work fine but the music plays way too fast. Perhaps this can help you track it down.
I just upgraded to 1.4 to see what was causing these failures. Here's what I've found:
- Apps compiled against paeryn's SDL from about a week ago work fine.
- SDL_mixer makes sound, but it seems to be playing way too fast.
I'll whip up a testing app sometime soon, but in the meantime it looks...
mudi: Can you explain further? This script used devkitpro's patches as a base... if they support it then this toolchain should also support it. Unless there's a command line switch or something.

(In fact, I've just updated it to 20060215, fixing the uname problem and removing the getpwnam() call from libmikmod so it won't complain when you...
I don't usually like hosting large files as the bandwidth quickly adds up. Also, not being able to build the toolchain may point to a problem with your setup that may affect your development in odd and frustrating ways even if the binaries were handed to you.
That said, try grabbing this...
I've added oxygene's work to the script and I'm doing a test build right now. Chances are it'll be up on my site (http://www.oopo.net/consoldev) in an hour or so.
make[2]: gp2x-ar: Command not found
It appears that it can't find gp2x-ar, which is provided by binutils earlier in the script. Are you sure you have your paths set properly as indicated in README.GP2X?
Comment out the parts that aren't working for you and I'll take a look at it when I get home tonight.
There should be a better way of checking for a valid path, I know it.

- Added tremor, removed libogg and libvorbis.
- Added tremor support to sdl_mixer.
- Changed $make to 'make -j2' for smp love at half the price.
- Added $wget as 'wget -c' for easy changing if people have problems.
- For our osx fans...
