I second the differentiation of colors between the two parties. Sometimes Dzz has several consecutive speech blocks, and I had to re-check to see who was talking.
Other than that, It is a good interview, well done.
I think when cloud jumps off the train, that may be the first time a polygon is actually drawn to the screen. Everything prior is a movie or the environments background. Just an idea :]
That's a bummer :[ I've been trying to get the "success" tune from FF7 to work, but it's about 4 seconds long. I wouldn't be suprised if this length restriction can be changed in the boot or kernel source.
*sigh* I just found this information in the Official Bootsound thread:
"Well I did some more research on why it comes out squeaky sounding. The rate must be 22050 Hz or else it will be converted down when put on the 2x, which changes the speed of the sound. That is the cause of the squeakies!"...
EdgeLib looks promising for non-commercial game development on the GP2X. I haven't gotten a chance to play with it yet, so I can't reccommend for or against it, but I'm going to set aside some time to do so.
I had made a bootsound and transfered it to the device. When I turn it on, it ALWAYS plays twice as fast as it should. I thought maybe I had set the bitrate to high or something, so I played around with different settings. Does it happen 100% of the time for anyone else with a custom bootsound?
