    Powermanga V0.80 - 3 Released

Hehehe, the addiction sets in! :P The key to the first boss is simple - don't always keep your finger on the trigger button! He lets out a barrage of bullets whenever he takes damage, so when you're about to swop from one side of the screen to the other, if you just lay off the fire for a while...

    Powermanga 0.80

Hello again everyone, I've just uploaded another update of Powermanga (version 0.80-3) to the file archive, which should hopefully come through in the next few days :P This version fixes all remaining problems that existed, namely: Pressing any button properly skips the intro video L & R...

    GP2X Methods Of Dev

Ah-ha! Cheers for that. I should have done my homework and read this... At least now I can also prevent SD card wear-out :-p For any other (non-linux) newbs reading who would like to mount a folder (as shared on your PC) onto your GP2X (via Samba on the GP2X), you can do the following. GP2X Methods Of Dev

Erm, perhaps I'm missing something here - I'm running firmware 2.0.0, and when I plug in my USB cable, turn the GP2X on and go to USB in Settings, all I get is a choice between whether to expose the NAND or SD memory... no USB networking options to be seen at all?

Yeah it looks like the "Update File" functionality on the file archive seems to take some time before the link is actually updated. I've just redownloaded it now at work and it looks to be the correct version - the two extra high score files which I put in for the new version are in there. Let...

    Powermanga 0.80

Thanks for the feedback guys - it was an overly large SDL_Mixer buffer causing the sound delay. I reduced it from 4096 to 64 as recommended, and it's working great now! There is still a bit of a problem with the high score entry - by default Powermanga expects standard key presses to enter a...

    Powermanga 0.80

I've ported Powermanga, a nice little addictive shmup, to the GP2X - it's pretty much feature complete at this point, although it's not 100% perfect - the sound effects seem to lag by up to a second, which is rather irritating. The port is based on version 0.80 (latest at time of writing)...
