Been away from the Pandora scene for months now so no idea what's been happening. One of the reasons is I've lost a lot of the love I had for my Pandora. The USB has never worked and it drains a battery flat in about 30hrs (that's powered off, so I need to remove the battery when not using it)...
A Pandora with a FULLY discharged battery won't charge from USB. At least mine won't (24hrs and nothing). Maybe it's related to the fact that my battery discharges with the Pandora shutdown (not low power mode, shutdown) within 48hrs, so I can get the battery *really* flat :)
Yes 2 sticks (don't have a USD HDD). AFAIK connecting the Pandora to itself is the guaranteed test (removes all the doubt about USB 2.0 etc)
@sirthunder516 Yeah, especially with the new post that CC aren't fixing some boards with duff WiFi. I really wish we'd get proper updates. I think I'll...
It must be the Pandora. I got two batteries and the first one (in the Pandora) was flat when it arrived. With the Pandora off and the battery in it goes down by 25% in 15 hours. What's a real pain is it only charges from USB, but on my Windows PC it will stop charging when it gets to 100%, but...
USB works for charging only. So far I've bought 2 hubs and a 3G dongle listed on the Wiki as working and none have worked. I also did the connecting the Pandora to itself trick and that didn't work.
The charger and USB has never worked on my Pandora. After waiting so long I didn't want to RMA it straight away. However I've now discovered than the battery running out after 2 days of being shutdown (i.e. logout->shutdown) is not normal either. What's the current situation with RMAs? Are...
Well I tried 16 hours and I got nothing. See http://boards.openpa...dpost__p__79252. This was on HF5. It's has to be completely flat. I had the same as you with my original battery (I bought 2, one was flat when it arrived).
My Pandora has only ever charged from USB (sent emails but never got a reply) which means I mustn't let the battery run down to 0 (you can't charge a completely flat battery from USB). I'm going on holiday and so I'm wondering how long the battery will hold it's charge outside of a Pandora...
Probably the wrong thread to bring this up, but surely to bring the Pandora to masses it's going to need some major work on the software. Without wanting to open the can of worms again, it's not really plug-n-play. Is this considered in the plan or is it purely for manufacturing?
No disagreeing since I know sod all about, but...."160,000 EUR now, then in a year they *MIGHT* make 40,000 EUR (which they would probably be able to make in savings-account interest in that time anyway with zero risk" can you point me to where I can get 25% return a year with zero risk in the...
Go with C++. You can use it as "a better C" e.g. classes to restrict access to your data and functions, constructors/destructors to simplify memory management. You can do this without having to go for a full blown OO solution (yes you can do it in C as well, but it's easier to be "sloppy" in C)...
The "class OO inheritance model" is often used very badly by programmers. Especially in games. You have a GameObject then a Enemy then a Monster then a BossMonster then a.....That's just bad OO. "Prefer Composition over Inheritance" (has vs isa). A component design lets you do this; a...
