    Vibrating Pyra?

The PS2 was rather complex, with the main issue being the inter-chip timings and interactions. GameCube operated at a higher level, and so the graphics calls and such can be treated more abstractly and the emulator does not have to deal with as much of the hardware-level emulation. So, to work...

    The good

Might want to be careful with the wording there, since the GNU bits were made for the GNU operating system which at the time lacked a Kernel. GNU/Linux i.e. the Linux kernel with GNU userland and utilities was indeed first done on an Intel chip. That's all mindless terminology quibbling, though...

    The good

I'm looking forward to working nubs and more shoulder buttons, the in-built mobile Internet, processing power enough to listen to music whilst playing PS One games and the stupidly high pixel density personally. If it ends up being mostly-standard Debian, I'll enjoy the fuller Linux environment...

    Pandora Review, months on.

Thank you! I'm not really sure what I was thinking when I posted that picture here. I think it's much more likely that I wasn't thinking. Glad a couple of people got something out of it, though. This lovely person is the one who made the suit. Highly recommended to anyone interested in that...

Thank you! I've bookmarked it. Haven't got much on tomorrow, so I'll dig up a spare SD card and try it out then. The Pyra talk and development blog have kind of re-ignited my interest in the Pandora a bit, so maybe that and trying a different OS will help me get some more use out of the thing.

Apparently, you can run Arch on the Pandora, but there doesn't seem to be as much interest in it as Debian and Slack. In that case, I think I'll try Slackware. Thanks for pointing that out! I thought Arch was in a better position, but I suppose I should research my vague thoughts better before...

I plan on keeping it. I might install Arch Linux on it and mess around with UIs and such and see if I can get it to suit me a bit more. The thing has still sometimes come in useful for me. Indeed, it's been an interesting thread. Thanks for the information, though! I still think I'll install...

    Pandora Review, months on.

What I meant by the "even for the games" was I don't seem to be the kind of person that does computing or electronic entertainment related stuff out and about. I agree that it's a waste just to use it for games, but I didn't mean to come across as implying that I only used it for games. And...

I have found the settings, but at least mine loose calibration incredibly quickly. I've don the calibration nub dance and all that, but my left nub at least is not precise. I suspect a hardware fault. You raise a good point, though. A Note 3's always going to make other portable screens look...

    Pandora Review, months on.

Hello again! I've been absent quite a while, and I thought I'd share my views on the Pandora, now that I've had some time to see how it goes. Judging by the current banner of the website, it looks like I've been away too long. First, a recap of my initial feelings. I thought the device was...

    Yet Another First Impressions Review

Thanks for the welcoming! And thanks again for the reassurance that I am not (entirely) boring. Yes, it seems like that is the way to go. Much less fiddly. Thank you for words of experience! The nub seems to work fine in both games, and I did some research and found out from the gp32x...

    Yet Another First Impressions Review

After receiving the Pandora, I thought I may as well join the community, and what better way than to start a very common topic?  DISCLAIMER: I only got the unit Yesterday, so these are very much first impressions, and nothing more! Also, I've not been sleeping well, which, when combined with my...
