I was bored so I generated a Peony vs My "type" image. Guess who I picked and win yourself a free like.

Well, among a hidden WWIII and Trump lovesickness with Putin, the only constructive worldwide collaboration left is the International Space Station (while it lasts).
Medvedev just threatened with war with the USA, and it didn't make sense that was in response to anything Trump said, because, well, Trump will say anything...
But then I understand what was the really serious provocation...

Don't all US responses get the usual reaction from Russia?

US: We might think about doing something!
Russia: If you do that it means war! We have nukes!

They do have nukes, and they'll rather use them than losing. So that's always a hard balance to find I guess. Even though US probably has better strike capabilities, you don't want any nukes to be used.

Also today: a tsunami.

Actually yes.
US: We might think about doing something!
Russia: If you do that it means war! We have nukes!
I guess that's the contribution of Russia to the world order:
predictability. The USA will say any crazy thing at any time. Russia says always the same crazy thing.

Well, using them is losing. I'm not going to quote Josua from Wargames again, but yeah, you don't want any nukes being used. You don't want any nukes being.

As if to say, look ma, no nukes! we can have enough disasters without nukes.

Luck has it that next to the epicenter there used to be Russia's only nuclear submarine base. It's possible that port has now been damaged or destroyed. As the port shown in videos on the news was further away.
Well, luck has it that nobody died ? I heard this is the news and I can hardly believe it, but if it's true, well done to all the authorities evacuating people. Material damage is there, but if there're no casualties, great.
I didn't know about the submarine base. Nice if weapons were destroyed. I hope it was evacuated in time. Not sure if that's easy to do fast enough if it was so close....
But I wonder if there's any remaining danger for the nuclear fuel or waste or whatever...

I didn't like it before, but I also don't like it now when one kind of copies the other.

Apparently Trump takes his submarines for a walk swim (sorry Dijkstra) trip, maybe just to show off his work, maybe to provoke a trip of the Russian subs and see if they still work...
:(
And meanwhile Palestinians keep dying :(

Looks like confirmed damage, hinting that Russian nuclear capabilities a now also damaged.
So I guess Trump can show his working submarines (with working nukes) now, doing double PR damage.

A bunch of Philip K. Dick's works has been turned into a show! How this has been escaping my attention for so long is beyond me, but here we are. I don't say this lightly: If you like Di - I should rephrase this - if you like Black Mirror, watch this.

Also watched Freaky Tales. Entertaining 80s-b-movie-styled flick revolving around a mysterious people-empowering glow. It runs in 4 segments with different characters starring in each. Those parts interlock in interesting ways as the finale approaches. ((I just wish they hadn't used CGI for some of the vehicle sequences. It's immediately noticeable and I hate that with fiery passion.))

Another movie: Free Guy. Hey gamers! This is a movie about games! Got a handful of sighs/accelerated breaths out of me. And there were nice motorcycles in it I guess. But I don't know how this movie got its rating on imdb. Through adolescent GTA players I assume.

28 Years Later! That one was riveting and touching almost all the way through. I very much enjoyed the audio - the distressing parts are quite effective. There's a certain amount of blood and gore, but it's not overdone. I enjoyed the split-second freeze frames when attacks hit. This movie managed to hold my attention from beginning to end. The last few minutes are an annoyingly intriguing sequel teaser, but also hilariously wacky. Good job closing this somber and thrilling movie with a good laugh. I'd love to see a lighter-hearted sequel akin to Army of the Dead. And I hope you've seen that. Also Cabin in the Woods. As well as Tucker and Dale vs Evil. I love funny horror movies.
