Very sad news.
Moxie was a great moderator of the community well before he officially was one. A truly nice and thoughtful guy who always spoke his mind without holding back, but in a way that you would stop and think about what he said instead of getting upset or defensive. Or you wished you...
Although it's hard to argue that the C64 and the Amiga didn't have more and better games the MSX was a great system and by pure specs should've been the winner. Bit of a Betamax vs VHS situation :)
I had a Spectravideo with built in 3,5" dd and was loading games in seconds while my...
Booted and worked:
Auf Wiedersehen Monty
Booted started but controls did nothing":
Got the blue MSX screen but couldn't find a file to run:
And what I tried was "DIR" and as I loaded the files into disk A "A>DIR"
I was looking for a trip down memory lane so I downloaded the emulator MSX.emu and after that the one called just MSX.
Popped in couple of my old favorite disks in the correct folder but only 2 will boot and only one is playable.
Does anyone have experience with this?
What I'm wondering is...
I think it depends on how much ED needs/wants fresh blood.
Also the one doesn't exclude the other. Why not do a Kickstarter with a relatively low amount for marketing purposes and do another one for the incrowd through Dragonbox?
This way he has the best of both worlds and the community can...
I've done a lot for charity lately so I'm pretty well stocked in karma points. And with my time more scarce then ever I have a ridiculous amount of games in my Steam account I've never touched. I'd be better of just buying a game I will play straight away for full price and so would the...
Flying to England tomorrow with my 2 daughters (9 & 11).
Flight is about 1,5 hours en we'll have a 2,5 hour train ride. Plus waiting. So a good 6-7 hours to kill.
Do you have any recommendations for games that will help us through that time?
I'm thinking either something we can cooperate on...
Well what done is done. But for future reference someone with ~25 total posts at the time might not be classed as the most reliable. Not saying that more posts == better but I'd propose to at least go for someone that's been an active member for some time.
If I remember correctly there were a...
There were quite some people happy to help at the time including myself.
But you appointed someone as project leader based on him also being German who said he was going to come up with a plan and then approach the people who fit in the team soon, never approached anyone. Probably no plan...
Pandora was acting up a bit. So to be on the safe side I the manly thing and reflashed it completely.
Only installed Java and Arduino and that's working just fine!
So not sure what exactly the problem was but can confirm that on a clean system with the latest version of Java and Arduino...
Installing the java runtime pnd didn't do it for me. Same still happens, when I try to open the Arduino pnd exactly nothing happens.
I'll have a look at Pandian, with the Pyra coming up I can diversify :)
Got myself an Arduino and got all excited of hooking it up to my Pandora. Got even more excited when i saw there was a PND for the Arduino IDE.
But when I download and try to run it, exactly nothing happens.
Is it working for others?
No I'm very well aware where they got the name from. Have been quite actively following the company since the original Kickstarter. But I was referencing the hipster food replacement powder, not the green stuff from Soylent Green.
Although mass cannibalism would solve both overpopulation and...
It's a prodcut I'd love to believe in because it would indeed solve a huge daily problem for me and make my life somewhat easier. At the same time I'm always very skeptic when something seems too good to be true so I'm closely monitoring some friends of mine that have taken the plunge. Free...
I think it's a great sign these threads pop up. Means new people are taking an interest and ED needs fresh blood to make the numbers work.
Everyone always has the option to not read and not post in those threads and let the newer people go through their own "growing up" in the community and...
