    Beta Uae4All Additions

Sounds awesome! Will download, test and report back as soon as I get home later tonight!

    Beta Uae4All Additions

The most important things to fix are save states (they make the game/emu crash way too often) and the loss of vsync (so you have to enter/exit the menu to re-enable vsync).

Thanks a lot for keeping on working on this wonderful emulator! It's appreciated. Toni is also awesome btw. Always really helpful and eager to contribute.

    Best NES Games

Unfortunately there aren't any perfect NES emulators out for Pandora yet (which is unbelievable). I hope this is worked on. I'm no programmer myself, but I'll gladly donate to make it happen.

    Beta Uae4All Additions

Hmm, I didn't know it was possibly to re-calibrate the styles in UAE4ALL. If it is then I'd be interested in knowing how. :)

    Beta Uae4All Additions

Gotta say thanks as well, of course! UAE4ALL is the only reason I got an OpenPandora (PS1 and N64 doesn't interest me and NES/SNES/C64/Genesis etc. can be emulated on lots of other handhelds). I really hope the work on UAE4ALL will be continued. Expect donations from me if the vsync bug is...

    Beta Uae4All Additions

Wow. I wasn't aware of this. Time to pick up my Pandora again then, I guess.. :) Thanks! Now if only someone could fix the "losing vsync" issue (when you need to enter/exit menu to re-enable vsync) then everything would be perfect!

    Beta Uae4All Additions

Heya guys! I haven't followed this thread alot (as I've spent my time on the other forum :)), but I see that you talk about savestates here. :) Are savestates still only enabled with the UAE core or is there a version of UAE4ALL with savestates enabled for the FAME/C core? The reason I'm asking...

    Vicex64 Issues

Thanks for the tip, but I tried that as well and the performance still sucks. :(

    Vicex64 Issues

Heya guys. Is everyone here experiencing issues with ViceX64 or is there some trick that I've overseen to make it work perfectly? I have tried lots of games (including different releases) and not one of them is running perfectly. I've tried running Vice at 500mhz, 600mhz, 700mhz and 800mhz but...

What Do You Guys Use For Nes Emulation?

Thank you very much for confirming that. :) Well, if the emulation isn't perfect then most games are unplayable IMHO. I know I'm terribly picky here, but I can't play side-scrollers with jerky scrolling. Thanks for all the replies guys!

What Do You Guys Use For Nes Emulation?

UAE4ALL has smooth scrolling for the games it support, SNES9x4P is good enough for the games it support. Picodrive is excellent. MAME4ALL is good as well. Out of the systems that interest me, NES is the only one that doesn't run like I'm used to.. :( I've tried all settings indeed.

What Do You Guys Use For Nes Emulation?

I have now tried both the Ginge-wrapped GPFCE .PND and running it via Ginge. Both are equal crap. I have frameskip=0 and VSYNC enabled of course. It's not scrolling smoothly. Either it's something wrong with my setup or you guys don't see it (e.g. you are "happy with how it works"). :)

What Do You Guys Use For Nes Emulation?

Hmm, I'm using the GINGE-bundled one I guess (the .PND from http://dl.openhandhelds.org/cgi-bin/pandora.cgi?0,0,0,0,71,224). So you're saying that it will run better if I run it via GINGE manually? I will give that a shot today. I also noticed that the clock speed is set at 150MHz within GPFCE...

    External controller on Pandora

Not necessarily, if you instead could map the Pandora keys (cursor up/down/left/right, home, end, pgup, pgdown) to joystick movements. Then all emulators would've supported joysticks (as they would treat joystick input as keyboard input).

What Do You Guys Use For Nes Emulation?

I've tried GPFCE, which forces one of those ugly filters on, which I don't think is needed at all, considering the Pandy LCD is perfect for lowres games as is. This works decently on some games, but some games (e.g. Megaman 2) suffers from a slowdown. GPFCE-GP2X is about the same as GPFCE...

1st day with my Pandy, I'm impressed ..

Heya. I'm working on a review for a new retro gaming site, so I will go into deeper details there, but so far I can say that Amiga emulation (classic OCS/ECS of course) is great. Really great actually. I have set the Pandy to run at 700MHz and vsync+50hz makes almost every game I've tried run...

1st day with my Pandy, I'm impressed ..

Just an update: my nubs are perfect now. I just spent 1 hour playing Quake 2 and they're really, really great. :)

1st day with my Pandy, I'm impressed ..

Thanks again for the tips guys. It's funny, but I shut off my Pandy for a little while last night and turned it back on when I went to bed; - and guess what? The nubs were working perfectly! I guess it was a calibration issue then and not a hardware issue. :) Very happy now!
