Yes, its the old Version with a Final Cartridge III :) .
On the right side - in front of the Monitor - you can see a ATARI XEGS with 1MB Memory, Stereo-Sound, internal 2,5 inch HDD,
and internal Serial XE-PC Interface
(btw.: i have also lots of more stuff e.g. Amigas (500, 600, 1200, 2000)...
Hi Wootson, in the past i´ve done a couple of MIDI stuff with the Pandora.
Here Two examples:
MIDI Sync test with a Roland MC-505
If you wanna control more than one external Synths/Groveboxes you can make a MIDI-chain and configure...
The easiest way is, to pick up the 5+ voltage from the USB-Port :) .
okay this solution is not so sexy B) , but it works...
Another way is, to take the power from the other side, in this case from your PC / Notebook or from a USB source (e.g a active Usb-Hub).
I´ve asked the OP-Team for that, but unfortunatly, at the moment there stands other issues in the focus,
it seems to be a lost hope to got this cable, thatswhy i´ve made this solution here:
Alternative Tv-Out Solution For Pandora
Wow, I´m really impressed of so much response ;)
So but now to the answers..
Yes, like explained in my posting, it´s an early first beta function test - not finished yet!
If it´s ready, the additional A/V jack will be placed clean inside the Pandora case on top the ext Connector.
(i´ve posted it (a couple of days before), in the german and english GP2x forum , but like i can see, it could be interesting for this board here too ;)
Ohhh, you can try it, if you can :D !!!
No, but seriously: it´s not possible, cauz the distance between the pins is too small to set there
a correct soldering point, additional there is a high risk, to destroy a copper point.
Primary you have to search for WIFI Sticks with a Ralink Chipset (especially Ralink RT2870/3070).
Only these ones should work, all others will fail with the original WIZ/Caanoo FW drivers...
Yes, there is :) !
You can place it above the Exp-Port (fix it with some liquid glue there or place it inside the plastic cover)
Of course you should mill a suitable hole for the AV-jack before ;) )
But keep in mind: all this MODs voids your warranty!!!
it´s very simple:
First of all you have to allocate the 3 correct signals on the mainboard.
1. GND pad (its marked with GND ( seen on the top of picture above)
2. Y-Signal (you can find it on the pin of the left SMD-Resistor (see picture above))
3. C(hroma)-Signal (you can find...
Tired by the long time waiting for Pandora´s never released TV-Out cable,
i tried to create my own solution.
My little Beta test shows an separate 3,5mm A/V jack supports TV-out (and finally Audio Out too)
If it´s ready, the jack will be placed above the Pandoras Expansion Port and is...
Finally, after measuring the current voltages and lines
i got the reason, why my old WIZ adapters doesn´t work with the Caanoo.
GPH has moved the lines:
Pin #4 : BATT_IN_OUT 5V / Pin #5 : BATT_IN_OUT 5V
Pin #17 : USB HOST D+
Pin #18 : USB HOST D-
Pin #12 : Power GND (Ground is of course...
Hey sbock :) ,
one of GPHs Devs assured me, that the EXT ports are indentical,
but i found there some slightly differences .
So, e.g. my selfmade terminal cable (with integrated TTL-232 converter) doesn´t
work with the Caanoo...
I guess, it´s a power supply issue, maybe the power...
Not a really big thing,
but nice to know:
The Expansion Port pinout of GPHs Caanoo is
nearly the same as on the WIZ, thatswhy
it´s possible to use most of Wiz adapters too:
Here is a short test video, shows succesfully Terminal acsess to my Caanoo:
Hey Gruso, thank for the great hint :D !
UPDATE: okay, my mistake, i got now V2.0 also running fine ;)
Think i have to buy some glasses next time B)
The Disk with the mouse issue was V.1.0, but i didn´t had my eyes directly on the version number
