Powervr Sgx Support For Opengl 2.0

Ok thanks, it makes more sense to me now ! So porting existing Opengl 2.0 drivers could be possible with some hacking (even though it would be illegal I guess)

Powervr Sgx Support For Opengl 2.0

Ok, I've made some more searches, and I think I need to clarify a little bit :) I remember an announcement about Opengl 2.0 drivers in January, but it looks like it was a mistake : http://openpandora.wordpress.com/2009/01/21/opengl/ So what does mean "API support includes OpenGL ES 1.1/2.0...

Powervr Sgx Support For Opengl 2.0

Hi! I've read a few months ago that an Opengl 2.0 (not ES) driver has been released for the PowerVR SGX. I can't find any information about it on these forums, nor in the wiki. Is it actually possible to compile and run Opengl 2.0 code ? If so, are GLSL shaders supported ?

    Augmented Reality!

I am very interested in using the pandora as a portable computer to process real time augmented reality. What really excites me is the potential use of Head Mounted Displays (HMD) via the pandora video output. Here are some interesting links I found : http://www.headplay.com/...

Protecting The Pandora Against Theft At Boot Time

Thanks, this is very interesting. As far as I understand, u-boot could wear the boot message or password protection, even if, as you said, it won't be bulletproof.

Protecting The Pandora Against Theft At Boot Time

Yes of course ;) I'll try to clarify this a little bit more. We all agree, no unbreakable protection exists. The only thing we can do is to encourage the person who get the device to send it back. If your device fells into the hands of an evil selfish linux hacker, you're out of luck...

I don't know dm_crypt. It would be useful to protect your data, but not the device, right ?

Protecting The Pandora Against Theft At Boot Time

Please please please let's avoid the troll ;) I mean, the topic is quite important to me so : We all agree, a customizable message set in the boot menu, just before the OS starts would be a good start. As far as I understand, it can be done just by changing a resource and flashing the NAND...

Protecting The Pandora Against Theft At Boot Time

Ok, the topic is a bit old, but I'll try to sum it up. 1) The point is not to feel better because the thief or (the lucky person, finding something strange in the train) can't use your device. The point is to claim that the device is unuseable and that you are ready to give a reward for it...

Protecting The Pandora Against Theft At Boot Time

It was a very useful feature on PSION devices. You could set a password and a customizable message such as : "Hi there, this device is locked and unusable. Please contact me at ####. Reward : XX $". But this would have to be a BIOS protection, working without any SD card. Any plans ? Any...

    Thank You For The Information!

Exactly.. :-) You should thank the whole team for holding you in this situation. Moving forward is difficult, because you have to be creative, ambitious, brave and so on. Instead, being held in a situation is very more comfortable, even more when you think it's not your fault, because you don't...

    Thank You For The Information!

Personally, I think I'm now used to check blogs and forums every day looking for fresh news. The Pandora story is actually what excites me most for a few months. I love such a teasing as "you might see something crazy tonight!!!", it makes me very excited ; when I see bad news, like "well... it...

    Pandora Graphics

...why don't people accept the fact that commercial games (in general) are far beyond free games (in general) in terms of production quality and quantity ? Ok, there are a few exceptions... cave story (although it wouldn't had so much support as a commercial game...), I also like nethack... I...

    Reordering Update

Why not to put the bank transfer page and see ? Obvioulsy, 1000 of us will be glad to pay this way. Who knows if 800 of those who said they wanted to reorder by CC will not change their mind ? Actually, the reorder email was not __so__ clear about the importance of the bank transfer / CC choice...

    Credit Card Orders

Banks are evil. Money is bad. :pandora1: is good I'll reorder it no matter the price  ! I personally despise $$ too much to worry about it. That's why I don't have much money, because I quickly get rid of it to get real things instead. I have the opportunity to contribute to a historical...

I wonder why this forum is so infested with 14 years old silly nerds creating 10 useless topics a day. Don't they have some homework to do, instead of trolling this forum ?
