    Apple II Emulator

Hmmm... how do you type control characters into the emulator?  The Apple II had a control key, but the Pandora's select/ctrl key is mapped to toggle full speed mode.  Some games use control keys to switch between keyboard and joystick modes.  Lode Runner uses a bunch of control keys for...

    Apple II Emulator

Well, I got it working.  Turns out I was using the lightweight2 web browser to download from the repo, and it wasn't downloading the entire file.  No errors, just incomplete files... multiple times.  Done with that piece of $#!* browser. Anyway, linapple on Pandora rocks!  Thanks.

    Apple II Emulator

Ironically, PNDManager doesn't get recognized either.  But I just tried installing Super Geometry Dust, and it was recognized just fine. So, Linapple, ScummVM and PNDManager are not recognized, but Super Geometry Dust and everything I installed ages ago are. Hmmm.

    Apple II Emulator

Well, maybe this isn't a linapple issue.  Lineapple is not recognized for me on: Zaxxon HF6 Super Zaxxon 1.60 Super Zaxxon 1.61 I just tried adding ScummVM, also to my SD card's pandora/apps folder, and it isn't recognized either.  It appears my pandora is only recognizing things I installed...

    Apple II Emulator

I've been away from my Pandora for a long time, but have now gotten back to it.  I was running Zaxxon hot fix 6 and tried linapple 1.7.0.0, but it doesn't get recognized.  I upgraded y firmware to Super Zaxxon 1.60 and it still doesn't get recognized.  I put the pnd in my SD card's pandora/apps...

    Apple II Emulator

@Jerry Nice work. I wanted to port LinApple, but was probably never going to get around to it, so I am very glad to see that you did. Works great. There is one thing I'd like to see added: a way to map any of the game control buttons (D-pad, A B X and Y, and L and R shoulder buttons) to...

    Audio Slow Down Software

Thanks for the suggestions. However... Unfortunately, Audacity pre-processes the whole file or selection, and then plays it back. I'm looking for a tool that you can adjust the playback speed while it is playing, and the speed changes instantly. Thanks, but I need to be able to adjust...

    Audio Slow Down Software

Does anyone know of a good open source tool for Linux that can slow down the playback of audio while maintaining pitch? Everything I've found seems to be based on the SoundTouch library and has a pretty significant reverb-like effect on when slowed down to around 60%. Most of the tools I've...

Hmmm Should I Quit C++ To Learn Python?

C/C++ and Python are both very good languages... for what they are designed for. C/C++ were designed for execution efficiency (runs fast) Python was designed for programmer efficiancy (write programs in less time) C was originally intended for systems programming (i.e. Operating systems...

    Fallout In Dosbox?

I had assumed that references to the GP2X handling about 1000-1200 cycles was with sound blaster sound. Bummer to hear that it isn't. So, do you have a guestimate of whether Pandora can handle Sound Blaster emulation in DOSBox, and if so, about how many cycles it can handle with SB sound...

    Release suggested clones for pandora

Since you like picking on noobs, I'll throw a little mud back your way. You didn't answer the post, you replied to it - they didn't ask a question; they made a suggestion. Also, the subject specifically is about clones, not ports and not emulation of originals. There is nothing wrong with...

Release GP2X apps compatible with Pandora?

Since the GP2X is also an ARM core running Linux, are some GP2X apps binary compatible with Pandora? i.e. will they just run with no porting and no recompiling? If so, is this true for a few, many, most, or nearly all? Thanks, Pete

Linux vs. Native Code (Bare Metal)

I've seen some posts talking about some apps running without an OS, and lots of talk about different flavors of Linux. So, are most apps for Pandora going to run on Linux or with no OS? I would think that they'd typically run on Linux, and only go to bare metal if they really had to get...

    Dev Fund Question

So, if you haven't contributed to the dev fund, you can't download apps for your pandora? That makes no sense. Then you'd only be able to use apps that you write yourself. Can you please clarify how the dev fund works? Thanks, Pete

Is anyone working on an Apple II emulator for Pandora? If not, I just might have to break down and do one. Pete

A List Of Actual Planned Projects

So far a lot of ports and original stuff have been mentioned, which is great, but what about emulators? PSX4pandora appears to be the only emulator listed in this thread as an active project. Isn't someone working on MAME? What about MESS or some other computer/console emulators? Any Apple...
