    War in Ukraine

Speaking of laundering... When the USA donated so much money to Ukraine, the Ukrainian president converted it to crypto and put it in the FTX exchange. The FTX exchange was doing a fractional reserve scheme and skimmed money off the top. The CEO of FTX was the second-highest campaign donor for...

    Port Requests

Re:AmiBerry UAE derived Amiga emulators are 2-threaded. (One thread is for the chipset, one for the CPU.) The ODroid XU4 is overclocked in its standard configuration so the other 6 cores are idle most of the time when running the Amiga emulator on it. Maybe that's why it runs so slow.

Assembly restart. Software work. And maybe our next SoC?

Renoise is 64-bit only. ARM7a is 32-bit. Cortex A15 is too old.

When Igor was kicked from the team, he took the Vampire v2 with him. The v4 boards have mostly new names now with Cyclone5 chips.

Assembly restart. Software work. And maybe our next SoC?

I have an RK3399 based PineBook Pro. It doesn't seem to be as well optimized as a RaspberryPi 4 compute unit (or so I've heard). This is while trying to run the Renoise music editor on it because it has only 2 performance cores and 4 efficiency cores while the RasPi 4 series has 4 performace...

AmiBerry works on the Pi so it'd be a better starting point than FS-UAE.

I see the Vampire board on there. That's a big boost to any real Amiga!

    Amiga Thread.

When running Dr. Michal Schulz' JIT on PiStorm it actually is many times faster in the benchmarks, than Apollo Team's FPGA. I think the only way to make the Apollo Core faster is to prepare it for production as an ASIC using an equivalent die size as a RasPi 3. Gunnar von Boehm, the head of the...

    Amiga Thread.

The Vampire standalone has a smaller FPGA than the MISTer and the Vampire v4 is hitting the limits of what will fit.

It does but the shareware version of P96 will remain unmodified on the Aminet archive.

USB peripherals will be supported but only some are guaranteed to be available at startup.

The video was just posted today and I hadn't seen it. The card-connector pursuit post was from May 2016, however.

The board being shown off is a stand-alone Vampire motherboard. The A1200 version won't come out until after the stand-alone Vampire computer is available. The Amiga 500 version of the V4 Vampire will use a similar board to the stand-alone and will come out no later than that board.

    Regal OpenGL wrapper

Network play checks the build version and only lets you play against players running the same version. If you're below the current stable build it will kick you off altogether. That's why I can't use my Intel box with its out-of-date graphics chips. Anyway I got top of tree to build on Ubuntu...

That's nice but I won't be able to play multiplayer since the lobby does version checking.

    Regal OpenGL wrapper

Hmmmm... The git top of tree requires a newer version of Qt than what Debian Jessie comes with. I guess I'll have to try Debian Stretch in release candidate form.

    Regal OpenGL wrapper

The Z-fighting is not gone. I get no text on the menu on my ODroid. Edit: The error printed on the console indicates an array subscript too big in a fragment shader. Maybe that's the problem.

    Regal OpenGL wrapper

Updates: When I try Warzone 3.2 I get a black screen on the ODroid. Maybe it's using some function that isn't present on GL4ES. I got 3.1 working on my RasPi 2 using the experimental OpenGL driver but it's a little unstable and the audio messes up due to the graphics driver bugs. (I know it's...
