If there isn't already, could you add a step-by-step either here or, preferably, on the wiki? There's sure to be other people wanting to setup swap, I know I've got a 16BG class 10 SD card aching to be used for primary storage and swap as soon as my Pandora arrives.
The n800 has no keyboard so anywhere between zero is a pretty good guess I'd say. I've played hours of Tyrian on my n810 though, using the keyboard and shitty d-pad, and number of key presses was never a problem.
I will probably attempt to get QtOctave running on my Pandora if noone else has by the time it gets to me. Always liked using Matlab as a calculator at university.
Nice, think about 90% if my n810 use has been FBReader. Was ensaddenated when people said how hard it was to port. Now I only need a couple more months or a couple thousand more cancellations.

There's a USB compatibility list in the wiki. Hardware requirement is USB 2.0 or a USB 2.0 hub in between the device and your Pandora. Drivers are obviously another issue.

If possible, get a virtual machine or live disk. Something you can mess around with and it doesn't matter if you break it. A VM would probably be best as you can then download and install stuff on it. Try downloading the source for a program rather than the binaries and building it yourself.

I assumed that it wasn't in an easy to find place or people would have checked prior to flashing but I guess they did check. As long as the md5 is around somewhere easy to find I'm happy.
Is it worth publishing the md5 of firmware images on the support page? I'd like to be able to manually check it after copying to my SD card to avoid this sort of thing.
