    A final Pyra Newspost!

Heartwarming thread. The positivity is decidedly joyous! Monk

Christmas, the past and the future (2013-12-24)

The rhinoplasty seems to have helped, and although the quality of my health continues to degrade it is doing so very, very slowly - so I'm still around! :D

More Pandoras soon at the shop!

ED's been the go-to guy for quite some time :) I bought a whole bunch too - did you also, for example, buy a spare battery? Lol - the enthusiasm of youth (well, it feels like that now) ED - I've no idea if Craig included me in his list (his business practices appear to have had some flaws) but...

    Waiting For My Gp32

Absolutely agreed on physical controls, they're essential for many games that weren't originally inspired by touchscreen/sensor control ideas. Personally I've had a lot more joy with things like the Archos GamePad2 and the Nvidua Shield Tablet + controller than with any pure touchscreen device...

More Pandoras soon at the shop!

Another original Pandora purchaser here (though I've never seen a Pandora nor a voucher towards a Pyra). Although I personally am a little bitter (details not really required) ED seems to both more approachable and more credible than Craig ever was. Keep the faith! I see even my avatar...

Christmas, the past and the future (2013-12-24)

Thank you ED. I'm one of the many outstanding Oct 2008 Craig pre-orderers that is very grateful to see you continuing to strive to support those of us that funded the early years of OpenPandora Ltd. I think, at the very least, that we have managed to fund the continued survival of many...

Panjoust - A New Simple Platformer

Ah, excellent, ta. That just made my Panjoust Readme, so tomorrow should be even more fun :)

    Pandora Production Progress!

It's how I often create file or folder names for works in progress (when I expect there to be several revisions over some time period rather than just 3 or 4, say). The latest is always the last one. When I sign in at school tomorrow, I will write the date as 15/6/10 (or maybe 15/06/2010 if...

Panjoust - A New Simple Platformer

Some idiot issues here :( 1. I've still finding the gameplay hard - specifically, once the player figure starts dropping, it REALLY drops! It seems to require a disproportionate amount of flapping to prvent the character falling to/off the bottom edge :( 2. I am probably missing some aspect of...

    Pandora Wi-Fi On 350kilobytes/s

It usually does that if someone isn't ACTUALLY just stirring the pot - or unless/until someone comes along and stirs it up again. Which seems spiteful to me (I'm not saying that YOU are being spiteful). Stretched, but not to breaking point, if only because I note that, as expected, others are...

    Pandora Wi-Fi On 350kilobytes/s

Hmmm, seems we have some thread contamination. See paddy's post afterward for an example of why I find "accurate right at this second, but is likely to be wildly different in 2 seconds time" less than perfect. Excellent. As I understand it, the Pandora is quite capable of that too. If (say)...

    The One Nub Club

Two thoughts come to mind - the first is that often the "cheaper looking" or simpler solution to a problem can be the better one - if it's reliable then there is less to go wrong! The second is - "where's the rest of the nub?". It looks like we're missing part of the picture here. Maybe a piece...

    Close To 1000?

We were supposed to have Pandoras for Christmas. 2008. At every stage things have been bumpy, and have not gone as planned. What made anyone think that things would suddenly go right once "mass production" started, and Pandoras would be smoothly rolling off an assembly line? Patience. Ignore...

Cool! How/where could bits of metal possibly get INSIDE a nub though???

    Pandora Wi-Fi On 350kilobytes/s

ah, yes - I suspect we could all do with more calm. Yet I'm about to fo deal with some petulant kids again for a while - no peace for the wicked! At least I should get the pleasure of getting feedback on my latest game design for one particular class :D

    Pandora Wi-Fi On 350kilobytes/s

Thanks Sugar_Kane. Had it not been for ED, I would have cancelled my Pandora order long before he told me that I shouldn't get a Pandora (or indeed ANY pre-order device). I don't have a quote to hand. It must be in my OTHER list ;) It seems unfair that he be the face of OpenPandora, but this...

Any News From The Assembly Line ?

LOL no - OpenPandora's style of posting misleading/inaccurate information, is what I meant. you know the way they'll say "Oh, the case company can knock out all 10,000 cases in one day" and leave off "bot of course most of those will be for different products, not the Pandora" or "except the...

    Pandora Wi-Fi On 350kilobytes/s

Thanks mate. That means more than you may know :) Not "getting too involved" is probably a good choice. Having too many people mix it up in an argument can, sometimes, lead to an increase in heat rather than calming things down. Better not to be between a rock and a hard place! Thanks too for...

    Pandora Wi-Fi On 350kilobytes/s

Aside from the fact I've stopped for lunch (mmm, microwave korma. Well, it's what I have) I was ready to reply to that whole post but for Mali's post. Out of respect for Mali (Hi Mali, I can FULLY understand any distance you want to put between yourself and either ED or I right now) I will make...

Any News From The Assembly Line ?

I know EXACLY what you mean. I wish I didn't :( LOL. Well, having just been told off for apparently being constantly anti-OP and trying to make them look like liars, I guess I'm in no position to critique your posts - any and all objections removed! I don't think you'll ever stop that style of...
