    GPD WIN MAX ANNOUNCED

Mine was a US order, and FedEx was used for me and I just got it. Total of 7 days from ship to receipt Germany > USA. I did unfortunately get a EU power brick and don't own a converter/adapter. Seeing if I can get a replacement from ED's shop. I did hear and can personally confirm the Nintendo...

    GPD WIN MAX ANNOUNCED

ED's shop sent me a shipping notice a few days ago, says it will be here Wednesday. Can't wait to try it out and give feedback. Thanks ED

GPD Win Max or One Mix Pro 3

While I think the max is for sure the better of the two. The timeframe is a problem. The win max is still preorder, looks to land around the same time as the pyra most likely. If you need it now you might look elsewhere like the pocket 2 or something.

    1TB microSDXC card

Well the pyra does have a cellular card option... If you setup like a software driver for a iscsi Target or something, then you are talking virtually unlimited at that point. It'd be slow as piss, probably corrupt the drive as well due to dropped packets, but could be seen as an attached drive...

    Covid-19 (Coronavirus) - Please stay safe, y'all

They patent genomes of bio engineered corn here in the states. My guess this is something similar, probably even more so since a virus arguably 'isn't alive' or at the very least, not as alive as corn is. If you want to use it as medicine, you definitely want a patent on it. EDIT: fixed spelling;)

    Covid-19 (Coronavirus) - Please stay safe, y'all

this? https://data.epo.org/gpi/EP3172319B1 A "coronavirus" is a family of viruses, not just the covid-19 coronavirus, some of which most people have already had many times in the past. I've heard this spoken and don't find a reason to not believe it. "this covid-19 will eventually become...

    Covid-19 (Coronavirus) - Please stay safe, y'all

Pyra news partially stale from the dragon's mouth

I don't disagree that people are actively contributing to their own demise, and that specific cause could be avoided. However something's gonna get ya eventually. The concept I'm sure most people hope for of "dieing in their sleep" at the ripe old age of whatever, with the cause of death of...

Pyra news partially stale from the dragon's mouth

So my understanding, and correct me if I'm wrong here, is that if you live long enough you are guaranteed to get cancer. Cancer mainly comes from damaged DNA, and that damage can happen from either external or internal sources. As you age the protein strands protecting your chromosomes...

You didn't expect this, I guess.

Could you go a DIY path for some like the odroid go/advance? I have to say that was an oddly satisfying experience. Makes it feel as I have more invested in it than just some gadget. If I gathered correctly some modifications must be done to the board that should probably remain at your level...

Retropie \ Batocera \ Lakka \ Recalbox like distro or interface?

Emulation station configs and themes mainly, filesystem layout, included and configured emulators, just like some Linux distros, some don't have much other than "this guy rolled his own and named it Bob" all the way to having optimizations and emulators not normally found in retroarch and tight...

Pyra news partially stale from the dragon's mouth

If you got a way to determine the final cost with shipping on my preorder, I'm more than willing to pay up the rest now if you need more cash flow. I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one that feels that way.

Retropie \ Batocera \ Lakka \ Recalbox like distro or interface?

Been doing a bit of thinking on this today. So in terms of accessibility I think the retropie approach is probably the best among the field of options. It strays the least from a straight debian build and will likely play well with a dynamic underlying OS. The problem with this entire concept...

Retropie \ Batocera \ Lakka \ Recalbox like distro or interface?

An example of the desktop envrionment switch on a retrostone 2 below. There's an icon at the bottom of the desktop envrionment that switches you back to the "emulationstation" environment. Make a script to change boot parameters depending on preference similar to how minimenu works, probably...

Retropie \ Batocera \ Lakka \ Recalbox like distro or interface?

You can access the desktop manager through a menu option or even have the desktop manager as the default interface. I see something like this to be identical to minimenu just much better. Also because as you say, nobody is talking about revamping minimenu, I think this should be considered. I...

One of the goals of the pandora project, and I remember hearing ED boast about it quite a bit, was the whole 'more than a computer' and alternatively, 'more than a game console' aspect of the pandora. Well, with the explosion of single board computers that appeared since the pandora's release...
