    Our New Machine, Pandora

Still no pictures?! Okay, I know it's great that Craigix is making this machine but I'm not happy about being strung along with promises of new info and pics and then failing to deliver. This has been going on for ages.

Eh? I didn't even know we could sponsor you.

    Our New Machine, Pandora

I have two suggestions for the name: 1) GameTw@t - very British, has an internet feel and will get the world talking. I think people would buy it just for the name! 2) Puu - kind of like the Wii, which is the best selling console ever!

There's an 'i' missing in the link, otherwise it's called the Craginator.

A metal case would make it cold to hold in the winter.

Is this discussion going to carry on right through to Spring 2008 when Craigix said it will come out (if he chooses to use OMAP)?

Can we have it play hi-def videos via the (HD)TV-Out?

Eh? So we're not having shoulder buttons now? Practically every console since the SNES has had shoulder buttons. What's the problem?

Then add two shoulder buttons and you've got the perfect Sega Saturn layout! Reckon there's any chance of there being a Saturn emulator or would that be harder than an N64 emulator?

Yeah but no one is going to buy it for the multimedia capabilities. Only retro gamers will buy this machine. I don't think I'd make use of any other features, unless... it can play videos at HDTV resolution via the TV-Out. Is this possible? That would be a great feature for those of us who have...

My view on the price of £200 for OMAP: it is cheaper than what I thought but still too much for a gaming device. Having said that, I've started warming to the idea of OMAP over the days. Still, I'd have to think very carefully about spending so much to play old games. And that's coming from...

I wouldn't mind playing on something like that! :P Anyway, I wanted to voice my opinion on the price. If it is going to cost more than £150 then count me out. I just want to play up to early '90s MAME with no frameskip and with a good TV-Out. I'm sure we don't need OMAP for that. A lot of...

    Our New Machine, Pandora

Do we really need such a powerful device? We mainly want to play retro games so we don't need 100 million polygons for that. Also, homebrewers aren't really capable of making use of all that power as they seem to make things like Breakout clones etc. Only the really big companies have the...
