Hi everyone. I just discovered something I never thought of doing. I have a tape deck in my car with a tape that has stereo output. So I thought I'd hook my Wiz up to it since it has an audio output and it worked. Now I don't have to listen to the radio or worry about buying a new MP3 player...
Yeah it's unlocked. idk why Ubuntu doesn't like the Wiz. Oh well it works fine and am able to delete non corrupted files via Windows. The funny thing is that the files became corrupted when I was trying to delete them in Ubuntu.
I was able to delete some of my files via Windows. For some weird reason they always show up as read only in Ubuntu and I can't do anything with them if I'm root or not. Oh well I was able to upgrade my version of Mame and I've installed Neo Geo CD. Gonna give that a spin. I wish there were a...
Is it possible to delete files within the Wiz? I've tried to delete some unwanted files via my computer but I can't delete them because they are read-only even if I am deleting them as root. So is it possible to delete files within the Wiz itself?
Well it works fine. I also think the firmware was updated because now when I load a program, I get a loading screen. That didn't happen with my original one. :gp2x:
Well good news. The GP2Xstore contacted me and said that my unit was indeed defective. They sent me a new one on Friday and I should receive it tomorrow. I'm glad I sent it back when I did because my birthday is Friday. :)
The battery was fully charged. When I turn it on without the charger, the blue LED light comes on like it normally does but the screen doesn't come on. It's just black. I sent it back on Monday, but I haven't heard from the GP2Xstore. Hopefully I will hear from them on Monday.
Nothing! The damn thing didn't come on still after putting in the SD card I had with the firmware upgrade. I guess the screen died or something. T_T
I'll send it back now...
Update. I haven't been able to find a screwdriver small enough to take the screws out. I hope that solves it though. I think it is the battery since the battery died and I charged it all night. I'll try and find a smaller screwdriver sometime this week and take it out. I really don't want to...
I don't see anything. The thing is on and it's just a black screen. I tried taking out the SD card too. I haven't taken the battery out yet. I will try that if I can find a screw driver.
My poor wiz won't turn on! I turn it on and the LED light is blue like it should be, but now the screen won't even come on! It is all black! The last thing I did was charge it before I went to sleep because the battery died while I was playing PocketSNES. Could that have anything to do with it...
Pocket SNES works well on the Wiz. Some games I noticed did have some slow down like Mega Man X. But games like Castlevania IV and F-Zero have decent frame rates and Power Rangers runs at 60fps. The maximum processor speed is 400mhz and you will need to set your DSP to 22050. One of the things I...
I got my GP2X Wiz today and I must say I am very pleased with it. It does everything I've wanted to do with a hand held. I had MAME and SNES games up and running in minutes. The games run pretty well. I didn't notice any slowdown aside from the usual emulators I run on my computer. I also can't...
