    Pandora Wearable

Some of you may have heard of this already, but fiveseven808 from the MicroPCTalk forum has created his own wearable computer using a Sony UX380 UMPC, a hacked MyVU Crystal display, and a Motorola iDEN i425 for cheap, always-on connectivity. Why am I posting about this in the OpenPandora...

    Release New Pandora Video

Personally, I want to see the WLAN feature in action. Thats what I really care about. ;) Hows the battery life with WLAN enabled and in use? How mean is it to system resources? Can we see it in action on video?

    Pandora''s Type Classification

I've been recently linked to this article by a friend, and I figured that you may find it interesting: http://www.theregister.co.uk/2009/03/13/mi...er_field_guide/ Apparently, we can safely refer to the OpenPandora as an "Ultrathin computer". Sort of a silly name IMHO, but go argue with the...

    Unity Game Engine

Thread necromancy! I was going to start a thread, but figured its better to revive this topic. I've been doing some thinking about the feasibility of commercial game engines on the Pandora, and I figured... ... why the hell not? As awesome as opensource is, there's no reason not to encourage...

    Anyone Else Here Losing Interest?

I am still interested. For me the Pandora is going to serve the purpose of being a laptop relacement. My personal dream is to have the power and flexibility of a desktop computer in my pocket, accessible at any time, any where. Most PDA's and Smartphones out today are either incapable, under...

    I didn't get a Pandora because...

From the specs, the Pandora sounds like exactly what I want and need: I've been searching for a handheld portable computer that I could use for run general purpose tasks. I intend to use it for many things - from mundane tasks such as email and browsing to IRC, music, video, games, and even...

    Firemware 2.1.0 Ready

Is it just me or do xvid movies seem to run abit slower as of 2.1.0?... The video seems to be choppy and less smooth, almost like its skipping frames.

    Tv Adapter Issues

The local television in Israel is using PAL (B)... Looks like South Korea is NTSC (M). I'll go and see if forcing the TV to switch to NTSC helps.

    Tv Adapter Issues

I have just received my cable adapter today and tried to view a movie on the TV screen (Firmware 1.1.0, with the specialized program for TV-Out). Unfortunatly, that does not seem to work: The first television displayed only colorful lines, and the second television presented nothing but a blank...

    Garbled Screen

Interesting. I took out the SD card and tried to run it again, this time after some time has passed.. looks fine. I guess it really is just low batteries. Not such a good behavior...

    Garbled Screen

I've been trying to fix the screen flicker issue on my GP2X (Firmware 1.0.1) with the CPU/LCD tweaker , by setting the CPU speed to 266MHz, fpll and timing of 2. However, when I hit "save" the entire screen went "garbled" as if the display was curropted. I attempted to reboot, but it doesnt...

    Mame Gp2x Help

I seem to be having the very same issue. I have MameGP2X in its own folder at /mnt/sd/mamegp2x , with the roms present in their own directory under /mnt/sd/mamegp2x/roms - but on load, I get the (hardly readable) "No roms found" error. Does anyone know what I could be doing wrong?
