No, first step is to slide the lid to the side. Then tabs will be aligned in the small holes so you can lift it.
If you hold the arrows toward yourself the lid slides left.
Might want something that gives better grip on the surface as thumbsweat is slippy. But I managed to do it without any tools.

<EvilDragon> Yes, I just brought the cases to the coating company today. All finalized black units have been shipped, the copper ones will follow as soon as I receive the cases back. It's also soon time for the next batch or orders that can be finalized
Quality over quantity. We've waited so long, it would be a kick in the balls if we got defective pyras after all this.
Besides, this gives the software people more time to hammer out important issues so the user experience is better once we finally get out units.
I absolutely love seeing the development process so transparently. Getting all this insight into the creating of a device to me is more valuable than having the device itself. Even if I never get it, my preorder money is not wasted, I've gotten my value already.
I do hope we're getting close...
Underestimated complexity is a mess to deal with. Even if they have someone there who loves taking on the challenge. Once the leadership discovers that it's costing too much they insist on prioritizing more profitable efforts and put the unexpectedly expensive project on back burner so it grinds...

It's not done until it's done.
Fast-good-cheap, pick two. We don't have the money, so cheap is non negotiable. We want a good device, so fast is not an option.
Perhaps as an alternative to wandering Pyra you could have some preorderers visit ED for a day. They could do some testing and talking and get a tour of the facilities...
I think being able to follow the progress with so much detail by itself is more than worth the preorder money.
Thank you very much for the regular and thorough progress reports. It's been a joy to know what's going on and learning how hardware development works.
And even if mass production...
