Cool. Sounds good.
Ive managed to put Debian on bananapi from the real basic stuff (like uboot and preboot thinks, kernel and debian) with an empty sd-card. No precompiled image.
Idea was to learn how the boot stuff is running on arm to applicate this on the pandian-os.
Well if the pyra os is...
I have good experience with proot for arm ( jeah okay, its linux/gnu only ). You just need an extracted arm-root-fs and it doesn't harm your system-root :D
Or, if you don't like proot, use qemu-static binarys on an arm-root-fs
Yeah well.. the people out there can create amazing stuff and all the time i read about the same problem: time an real-life-work.
I dont think i can work on pandian for the next few weeks. I am on commisioning of an powerplant for the next 3Weeks
Did somebody have experience with the...
Well event with the "newer" kernel 3.2.69 from git its not working.
So last hope i guess is to grab the 4.1 again and see if i get this running. (kernel is loaded but then uboot stop working somehow )
Well 5GHz.. i used it some time and the network stability decrease. So i switch back to the old stable 2,4Ghz-Band.
So no i don't need the 5GHz wifi option [emoji6]
Nope, uboot is loading the kernel, try to start it and the screen stays black. I try to find how to set the machine id in the uboot boot-config, but i didn't found it.
Well debugging over these ext-connector is the next step i guess
Well...
after the third Kernel-Compilation no success. The U-Boot load the kernel... and stay in the Black screen. Even if i compile the kernel with debugging enabled.. nothing.
So two thinks come through my mind:
* How can is access the debugging of u-boot
* maybe the device id in the...
About the wifi firmware loading:
ive startet some investigation in the kernel source. And jeah.. udev is the bad boy. The kernel sends an request to load an firmware file. Udev answer it and copy it to /sys/firmware.. well udev drop this support so this weekend i start some...
Not yet. I will create a package on the weekend and upload it. Besides, ive using the default pandora kernel, no special config. If you can't wait, juts grabbed the source from here http://git.openpandora.org/cgi-bin/gitweb.cgi?p=pandora-kernel.git;a=summary
Yes and no. Ive used the default setting of the pandora kernel. If i remember correct, the most of the kernel stuff which is needed, for example for usb-drives, is compiled as module, which you can find in /lib/modules
On creation of the debian packages i dont think about the free and non-free stuff. But yes, we need to take care of. Until now, its only one non-free package ( with the wifi blob ) so we need to check how this vrms-thing works and add these flag to this package.
Move this package to another...
