To say Dave's cap is "better" is a huge understatement. This little bit of plastic TOTALLY transforms the playing experience and gives you control without having the experience of having the old joystick cap cutting in to your thumb. Really, everyone should buy one, they are priceless...
Got it - I had installed firmware patch 1.1.0 which locks the NAND memory. I had uninstalled this but clearly it hasn't worked. I ran the NAND unlocker and the EMU work fine.
Now to try to get rid of the NAND LOCKER - look out for another post if I have trouble.
Thanks
........Have checked that the "roms" directory is lowercase and it is (sorry for perhaps misleading).
I have deleted the directory and recreated it and tried again - still got the same problem, returns to main menu after selecting a rom to play.
Any more ideas as this is really bugging me.
The three roms are:
Warioland 2
Dragon Quest Monsters
Tetris DX
If these are supported, can anyone suggest some that are so I can see if I can get this to work - Thank you.
I have installed the .gpe file to the root of my SD Card.
I have copied the empty ROMS directory to the SD Card (immediately off root).
I have copied 3 .gbc roms in to the ROMS directory.
I have run the .gpe from the GAMES menu, and the Emu loads.
I press start and and get the choice of 3...
What is the non standard way of installing?
I have installed the .gpe file to the root of the card and copied the "ROMS" directory to the root of the card. I have placed 3 .gbc roms in the the ROMS directory.
I run the .gpe, and get the load screen, press start and am presented with the 3...
If have got the problem with SD card (integral 512Mb) not being recognised. What do I need to do to go back to stable firmware? Is it just a case of installing 1.1 again? I have applied the patch from 1.2, will this affect anything?
Thanks
OK - I know that Visual Boy Advance has been ported to the GP2X but is anyone working on improving or recompiling it so that it runs at full speed on 2X?
Here are some well priced 2700mAh rechargeables on ebay for £4.99 with free postage - at that price, well worth a try.

Does anyone have any definitive update on the product recall, when it will happen etc and if it is only the first 500 units.
Mine is serial # 486 and the screen flickers since it has been upgraded to 1.01.
The GP2X is a great unit and the PSX emu is a god send.
Anyone got any news - GBAX say...
From post I have read, these problems are affecting the UK supplied units as well - Mine flickers particularly with a blue background (Vieo menu, Ebook meny, Explorer menu and Green backgrounds - Loading screen and Game menu).
Waiting for an announcement from GBAX about how this will us.
