    Nand?

cheers. ahh, the wiki. should have been my first port of call really. (I changed my comment about the member rankings. I felt it wasn't really my place to say what should and shouldn't be updated.) @Hanz: "user" kinda sounds like heroin junkie (maybe you're joking)

    Nand?

hey all. I'm taking a maths degree at the moment and a while back I took a module in logic. Anyway, I was just wondering, how do terms like NAND and NOR (which to me are ¬(A ^ B) and ¬(A V B) respy) relate to memory? any insight or a suitable link would be lovely. cheers. EDIT: damn smileys...

    Can't Change Linux Skin

hey all. I ran imgall.gpu from sterm and realised i was just being stupid. all of the img* folders were in a folder called imgall instead of being in the root so the installer was returning a "file not found" message for each of the different images. I didn't realise i would have to change...

    Can't Change Linux Skin

just looking through the forum, I'm pretty sure i haven't made my NAND read-only. I'm running firmware 1.0.1 btw which was on my 2X when it arrived.

    Can't Change Linux Skin

no, i don't think so. I haven't on purpose at least. I'm not sure how I would've done by accident but I'll search the forum. no offense taken at all :) but yeah, I did change the folders. I read that the new firmware extends the life of the NAND. I don't really know what that means but...

    Can't Change Linux Skin

I applied the Tux'N'Tosh skin to my GP2X without any problems at all. I'm trying to now change it to the Katamari theme. I've checked the skin out on the skin viewer and it's fine so i know there's no problem with the download. However, whenever I run imgall.gpu i just black a black screen...

    Hi All!

hey leo! yeah, the card from gp2x.co.uk is a 1gig integral. so far i've had no problems with it at all. Haven't tried a firmware flash yet though. just make sure you don't put an empty, unformatted card into your 2X then switch it on. hope you enjoy your 2X when it arrives and don't...

    Help With Drmdx

oh, I'd recommend using some sort of translator on it. if something as popular as a snes emulator has a non-english readme then chances are simple usage will be explained on this forum somewhere.

    Tv Out Problem

Does the volume control on the GP2X control the volume of the output signal to the tv?

    Duke Nukem 3d

I've considered this but haven't tried it yet but if you first loaded duke nukem on your pc, assigned the buttons how you wanted to then saved the config and put the files on you 2X, would you be able to assign something to b? I'm not sure which key b relates to but im pretty sure this would...

    Help Installing?

this might be a bit long-winded but maybe worth a try. I don't know what language the readmes are in but you could try searching for "exit" or "quit" or other synonyms in that language and then the button presses will still be readable. Or you could try translating the whole readme using babel...

    Help With Drmdx

hmm, I've had no problems with the mp3 player. does the actual mp3 player itself load up or does it stay on the file selection screen? edit: typo and: what's wrong with the readme? I haven't tried the snes emu so can't say i've checked it yet? does it load up ok?

    Help Installing?

nah, sorry I haven't used that emulator. check the readme. might be something like L+R, or *push in stick*+R(+L) or vol-up+vol-down together. there might not even be one in which case you just have to turn off then on again (there might be a way to exit any file implemented later...possibly)

    Help Installing?

aha - irish american! yeah, sorry i don't know anything about american shops. but apparently there are compatibility issues with XP. I haven't read much about them seeing as i've never used usb connect but a search of this forum (maybe of just "usb") should lead to your solution (or lack...

    Lik- Sang's Shit List

Not that I think the problems with the GP2X are acceptable, I don't think it was really designed for the plug-and-play laymen. I think it's implicit that someone purchasing a gp2x has to have a certain amount of technical know-how in order to get anything from it. It's people who are into...

just reading an earlier post, i guess you're in ireland so i also guess the U.K. places will be familiar. also, what operating system are you running? edit: last question

    Help Installing?

hmm, don't know what to say about the rattling. maybe something's come loose inside? however, usb connect isn't really that stable anyway so go with the card reader if you're ok for money. i don't know where you're from but in the UK maplin, jessops, staples, pc world, curries and loads of...
