    The Communication Cube

One of my oldest friends is Persian and he moved to Europe when the Shah fell in 1979. He despises ayatollahs but the idea of US strikes is scarier. I believe Iranians want a regime change but fear interim anarchy and carnage. If I were a big shot president I would definitely consider all...

Games that works like "Batman Arkham"

I agree. HL2 got me excited about FPS's but it set the bar too high. I'm going back to platformers. EDIT: Actually, what I want to do, is lower my expectations, enjoy games that aren't perfect. Many games are pleasant.

They recently restructured into 'creative houses' with centralised technology for improved efficiency iiuc. What are your favourite Unisoft games? I recently gave up on Chaos Theory and regret it, it was ok.

What are you playing this weekend/these days?

The original Prince of Persia is a beautiful game. Linus Torvalds agrees. And I remember my mate back in the day loving Sands of Time. I've only ever played Alladdin on SNES which is clearly inspired. I've got AC2 on PS3 but I'm a bit turned off by Unisoft due to their treatment of developers...

    RISC OS?

I would be interested in risc-os (running bare metal) as a low jitter platfirm for emulators, trackers, etc. But iiuc it's non-trivial to port Unix software.

What are you playing this weekend/these days?

I just beat Metroid Prime 4. I enjoyed it a lot, it's a really refined game. I guess the reason it gets mixed reviews is because other Metroids have a more desolate and lost vibe. The controls are nice and mechanical, the blaster and elemental weapons control well with a nice rhythm. I liked the...

What are you playing this weekend/these days?

PS2 games look blurry on PS3 so I've been using pcsx2 on linux and now they look spectacular. Increased resolution & a few other tweaks and the games are crisp, fast and gorgeous. I've always felt many games look better on pc and this setup matches that. My games are: Half-Life, Deus Ex, No One...
