    GP2X Upper Memory

Well, I consider it a matter of politeness to leave the system in a state where if the user wanted to there could go and watch something afterwards, maybe I'm just old fashioned? *shrugs* Ah, thats one option for sure, but given its only 2meg then maybe moving into the lower 32meg would be a...

    GP2X Upper Memory

yeah, the idea of taking a memory dump from the start of that ram upto the framebuffer did occur to me, but I dunno, I feel a bit 'iffy' about trying todo that, as I'd hope to use this code in stuff released and for others, so requiring your user has X space left on a memory card just seems off...

    GP2X Upper Memory

A while ago I started playing with the uncontrolled upper 32meg of RAM we have access to, mostly so I could feed "real" addresses to the 2D blitter. Initally my experiaments have been restricted to the lower 16meg of this 32, which afaik is utterly unused, however I'd like to make use of the...

    GP2X Dual Core Cpu Information

So, in theory, you could write two modules, both of which get loaded into the kernel, one of which could provide access to the primary CPU's 'protected' functions (interrupts for example) and another to poke the 2nd CPU into life a bit easier.. hmmm, maybe I'll look into all that at some point :)

    GP2X Dual Core Cpu Information

hmm, just to continue the module idea, would it be possible to write a couple of modules and have them load with your program and then unload after you are done? Preferable keeping them in your programs dir...

    I Fixed The Tv-out Cable!!

I tried that, still getting no joy :( There is continuity down the connector, but for some reason I cant get a hint of a TV out signal... Hmmm, maybe I should do a voltage check on it, if I use my multi-meter to bridge the gap between the inner pins and out case that should give me an idea of...

    I Fixed The Tv-out Cable!!

hmmm, I got my cable from them in mid-jan, and I cant even get a signal via the s-video connection never mind a poor one :( - VIVIO just shows black - monitor and TV both give 'no signal found' I've tried the fix, but it hasnt helped at all even though the cable is now very snug in its port...
