Hardware Battery temperature readings are odd.

Thanks for the help everyone. @TrashyMG's suggestion worked and the unit is behaving normally now (and now magically at 88% from 2%) so I guess the battery was confused?

Hardware Battery temperature readings are odd.

Ok, that makes sense thanks for the reply. As there was no burning smell or swelling and the battery was cool to the touch I'll try again.

Hardware Battery temperature readings are odd.

So my Pandora's battery temperature reading according to system info was 320°C before suddenly swinging to -20°C. As this is a lithium battery and I didn't want to take any chances I've removed the battey. Has anyone seen this behaviour before? Edit: Just to clarify, I mean Pandora System...

MNT Reform - hackable, modular laptop

I have an aluminum laptop that I've taken apart for repairs. In the case of mine the corners by the hinges have gaps in the aluminium covered with plastic inserts where the antennae are.

    Box86 - Linux Userspace x86 Emulator

It's the user friendly name for Proton, Valve's project combining Wine, DXVK, and a few other projects together to get games to run. Someone has developed ProtonTricks for it because Winetricks needs some fiddling to work with it.

Can the Pyra's nubs be moved while clicked in?

So the nubs physically can't move while clicked in? That's unfortunate, but I can work around it (like I did on my Pandora) 1642267359 Thanks for the prompt reply matzesu!

Can the Pyra's nubs be moved while clicked in?

So I was playing Ape escape on my Pandora and realised that while the Pyra's nubs can click, every thread I've looked at mentions they need to be at centre to do so, which is fine, so does the PlayStation's. What I couldn't find out was if they can move while clicked, which is necessary to beat...

    What have you bought recently?

Yeah, mine is on it's own physically disconnected network, it's never seen the internet. I plug a laptop into the network when I want to upload or download something, or use N wifi router controlling the network if I need to download something to my phone. Mostly it's just there as a mass...

    What have you bought recently?

I just got a Qnap TS-453D NAS and have been configuring and copying data to it for the past 3 days. Had a little scare with the firmware update screwing up the raid making it so it wouldn't read them or even boot with a drive inserted. Turns out to be a pretty common problem when updating the...

    What have you bought recently?

Just got a Garmin Instinct Solar - Tactical Edition (Black), and just spent my free time yesterday playing with it. So far it's exactly what I wanted in a smartwatch. Basically it's a beefed up pebble watch that even managed to impove the battery life (pebble was 7 days on default settings, this...

What are you playing this weekend/these days?

Ah well, that's fine I guess, I've got other 32 bit games I'd like to try when I eventually get my pyra.

What are you playing this weekend/these days?

Grabbed a copy myself immediately after seeing your post Sunday, it does have a Linux version but the client requires a 64 bit os and 8 gb of RAM + 2 GB of Video RAM, although it runs just fine on my trusty Acer which only has 4GB RAM and no Video RAM. I do have 8gb swap and it uses about half...

    New rooms, updated cases

It's modeled on something from the 80's so it presumably takes half a dozen C or D cell batteries.

    Heat Spreader Performance and Overclocking

I'm kinda curious what the surface temp of your unit is reaching, and how it compairs to other people doing similar tasks. Do you have access to a infrared thermometer? I know that at least around where I live most businesses are using them to verify their staff's temperature. The one at my...

What are you playing this weekend/these days?

I'm playing Duskers it's a neat game where you control your salvage/exploration drones mostly through the command line. You can grab direct control of an individual drone to drive it, but all other functions (scan, collect resources, start generator, open doors, ect) are all command line...

I'm having a mildly concerning problem with steam.

An update for anybody who is interested. The purchase and installation of the game was not the trigger, the timing was just a coincidence. There's already an open github ticket for my exact problem, and long story short Steam is tripping policykit over calling...

I'm having a mildly concerning problem with steam.

I'm running Ubuntu 20.04 I just purchased the game Duskers because it sounded interesting. And after I installed it but didn't launch it, Steam crashed and did an upgrade. Now whenever I launch Steam I get an authentication prompt that can't be dismissed (clicking cancel just causes it to...

What are you playing this weekend/these days?

I'm playing the Spyro Reignited Trilogy now because proton now has a working Windows Media Foundation implementation so the cutscenes work now out of the box (I refused to use that other method of getting Media Foundation to work because it didn't seem legal). *Edit* Apparently only select...

What are you playing this weekend/these days?

I remember liking sands of time too. I quite like Dying Light's mechanics too, it's kind of messed me up for a lot of other first person shooters though because I keep thinking "Yeah, I can jump that!"
