    The ones I bought were Sony Ni-MH 2500Ni-mAh, however I got them very cheaply from a swapmeet, so it's quite possible I got what I paid for and they were defective. I'll let you know if it turns out to be the unit. Thanks for your help.

    Got mine yesterday after only waiting a few days, works great, thanks guys. Didn't get one of those suprise cd's you talked about though :( Doesn't matter however, I'd already downloaded everything I wanted for it anyway.

    Bugger, I thought there was some kind of rumour that the GP2x had some kind of wireless hardware inside but wasn't fully functional, I guess it was just a rumour.     Great timing, I was just about to order a GP2X from the UK or Lik-sang. With any luck I'll get mine before a friend of mine who ordered his from the UK last week. Any plans to stock additional accessories? Like the screen protector, alternate joystick caps etc... ?
