    Even Bob Won't Unbrick :(

I must be the unluckiest brick-owner on the planet! Your most excellent (and thorough) unbricking guide left me with exactly the same vertical lines that I started out with. I paid particular attention to the "This is important" sections, and still when I boot my freshly reflashed machine, it...

    Even Bob Won't Unbrick :(

The GamePark forums just suggested (again) to seek help here. I've still got a brick, my Bob isn't helping...I can't even take advantage of this cool new 2.10 rom... waaah! Has anyone got a "vertical-lines of doom" GP2x to come back to life? cheers! dylan

    Even Bob Won't Unbrick :(

Since even the BoB couldn't fix my Gp2x, and since GP32z is going out of business, it looks like my GP2x investment is heading south. Advice anyone?

Thanks for the idea -- unfortunately it doesn't pause there at all...after all of the "Write Block" messages go by at 2/second, everything else flies by quickly. :( Hmmm -- did my firmware upgrade really brick my GP2X?

    Even Bob Won't Unbrick :(

Thanks for these ideas -- I've tried them both (I think). I believe I have found a third possible error: 1) it seems that if I try to boot the gp2x with no SD card in it, it should give me something besides the vertical lines (after a successful reflashing). 2) I just reflashed and waited...

    Even Bob Won't Unbrick :(

I was in the same situation, and thanks to this thread got a bit unstuck: I needed to adjust the PC's BIOS settings for the parallel port. At that point the GP2XRecover.exe ran through to completion with a success message at the end. But my GP2x still boots with the vertical lines, no matter...
