Hi!
As Ångström distribution is confirmed as default OS, I'd like to try it before Pandora arrive. So I'm trying search for LiveCD for i386 or image usable for some Virtual Machine (running under WindowsXP), but without success.
Does anybody surely know, if it possible? Even more. Could anybody give link for such thing?
Thanks very much.

It's possible via a VM image either on VirtualBox or VMWare. There's no link for it...yet...
I'll get back with people once there's something more useful than that.

Thank you. I'm occasionally (not much skilled) Linux user, so I invite any kind of help.

I've got a working OpenEmbedded snapshot, I guess I could build an Angstrom image and upload it somewhere sometime this week.

I'd be interested in that. Any chance of including a dev tool chain so that your image could be used to help with expanding the Pandora software base?

It's easy to do yourself if you have a Linux box (except for the currently blocking bug that makes building a toolchain impossible...).

EDIT: http://www.angstrom-distribution.org/unsta...obuild/qemux86/

Poking around the Angstrom unstable (http://www.angstrom-distribution.org/unstable/) area, I found images that should work with Qemu. Enjoy (maybe)!

i wonder why would you want to do that.(i'm not saying that it would not be useful, just want to know the purpose/point 'cuz i didn't get it)

In this case, it's a good way to get a feel for what's going to be on the baseline firmware distribution, with an eye on giving out feedback on things... :D

This is a good start if you've got QEMU built- but it won't be quite the build-out we're working off of. They're not providing anything other than the X11 image. I'm in the process of building a spin of the GPE and Pimlico app sets, with an eye to making a VirtualBox, VMWare, and QEMU image disk available.
