Would it be possible to make something that can decompress .cbr and .cbz files on a gp32 so that comic books can be read on it?
Or maybe just something that allows jpgs to be read from inside a zip or rar file
Would the be at all possible, since there are programs that view jpegs, and emulators that run from zips, so it seems that it could be done.
I would try and make one, but I have absolutely no coding experience of any sort.

They aren't compressed zips, they're just renamed to differentiate from regular zips and rars, so the file type can be linked to comic readers such as CDisplay.

Vimacs means that JPG are already compressed. However, as you already said, cbr is just a rename to organize it better, so I'll just step back now and hope for a cbr reader too - although I won't cry if there never will be one.

Do the jpeg viewers have the option to scroll through files easily? Because having to open a new file every minute or so as you scroll through pages woulld be far too time consuming.
