One of my coder friend will try to develop something for gp32 in following days. He doesn't know anything about gp32 yet, but he is a cool programmer (he ported napster, jabber and many others to amiga platform) and he asked me which devkit to use under linux.

I will point him to devkitadv but I dont know if it works under linux.
What do you recommend?

Im looking over the directions for building the tool chain in linux. Is this all necessary if you already have a gcc environment set up? Can you just go straight to downloading the SDK libraries and modifying the make template to suite you?

Also is there an emulator in linux yet, setting up the linking and reflashing the bios seems risky to me.

Any help is appreciated as I do not intend to work on a winblows machine ever again.

Well I got some devkitadv for linux from chn who also made the devkitadv for windows, maybe you search the internet if you can find some sources or look if there is a tutorial howto get the devkitadv (gba) for linux to a devkitadv (gp32) for linux. for me it worked ;-)
