So today I lost my original joystick cap off of my GP2x. AARRGGGGHHHH!!!!! I was so bummed. So I set about trying to find something to make another. First I tried a dead Dreamcast controller - cut off the analog stick and it almost worked, but not quite.

Then, I found an Interact HandyPak Color that I bought YEARS ago at the dollar store just because I thought I could use it someday (and now I wish I bought a bunch of them). It turns out the stick on that just pops right off and with only a little bit of widening the hole it fits the GP2x! It looks and feel great and only cost me $1!

Here is one on ebay:

I can't find my digital camera right now or I'd post some pics. I'll try and remember to post some tomorrow.

Unfortunately, these might be hard to find since they are for the GBC, but at least you know now that way if you see any you can grab one. I'm going to go check my local dollar stores and see if I can find one that has a stash of them ;)

wow i remember that for the gameboy original it was HUGE "turn your gameboy into an arcade machine".

anywayz it might be a good repl;acement if you can get it to fit.

They should really make a peripheral like that for the GP2X, it looks fun :)

Yeah, I wish there was something like that for the 2x, too. I've got all kinds of accessories for my gba sp. Those magnifiers can be great, and I don't think anyone would argue that some different speakers would be nice.
