I have a ASF File and I need to encode it. Onyl thing is It keeps saying ERROR when it gets 3 minutes 49 secs into the film :(

Anyone know how to encode a film even with errors??

This is Not for the GP32, thats why its not posted in the GPCinema section..

i'v had many encounters with errors and i cant seem to get threw them...

i have a sugestion tough... when you choose the part you want to encode make it after the frame where all the errors accur or i think you can make it ignore errors and carry on... have a look on it and see what differnt tools there are...

i havnt encoded a film for like over a month so i forgot abit sorry. :(

hope this helps though....

EDIT: this is for the use for VD.

are you using VD?

Because its a ASF or what ever its called, only VD 1.3c can encode it or something as Microsoft made them remove the feature...

Im using TMPGEnc Express 3 now and just trying to cut out the bad section :) will let you know if it works :D

Try it with VD1.3c and use the "scan video for errors" menu option.

It may work.

Trooper

It wouldnt let me load the video.. it was a 21 minute episode of Family Guy, VD1.3c only allowed me to load 3 minutes of it so I couldnt scan it for errors

Anyway, I just used TMPGenc 3.0 Express and cut the 10 second bad bit out of the video and that sorted it out :D
