This patch series defines child nodes for the SGX5xx interface inside
different SoC so that a driver can be found and probed by the
compatible strings and can retrieve information about the SGX revision
that is included in a specific SoC. It also defines the interrupt number
to be used by the SGX driver.
There is currently no mainline driver for these GPUs, but a project [1]
is ongoing with the goal to get the open-source part as provided by TI/IMG
and others into drivers/gpu/drm/pvrsgx.
The kernel modules built from this project have successfully demonstrated
to work with the DTS definitions from this patch set on AM335x BeagleBone
Black, DM3730 and OMAP5 Pyra and Droid 4. They partially work on OMAP3530 and
PandaBoard ES but that is likely a problem in the kernel driver or the
(non-free) user-space libraries and binaries.
Wotk for JZ4780 (CI20 board) is in progress and there is potential to extend
this work to e.g. BananaPi-M3 (A83) and some Intel Poulsbo and CedarView
devices.

Hi,
I have managed to get it patched.
There is again some unfortunate check for "DRA7" in the libsrv_um.so
which has to be disabled.
The code seems to be even more unfriendly to patching... The DDK 1.14
did apparently use strcmp(str, "DRA752") while the new code seems to do some
(u32 *) buffer[offset] == 'DRA7' && (u16 *) buffer[offset] == '52'.
But after understanding all this there are just 3 bytes to be patched
in the ELF file.
With this setup (on Debian Bullseye) I could simply apt-get install kmscube
and run it.

This is an attempt to define a schema for the bq24296/7
charger and power supply controllers with battery monitoring
and OTG booster.
We model it as a dual regulator because it can generate
a VSYS (with controllable voltage) and optionally an
OTG voltage either from the battery or from external power
supply.
This scheme works well with e.g. the dwc3 setup of the
OMAP5 to turn on OTG regulator on demand.
The DT should provide a reference to a monitored battery
description so that initial and operation parameters
of the battery can be specified to control the charger
parameters.
To support different initial charging current for USB
and AC charger mode, an optional gpio should be provided
that the driver can use to set defaults.
A driver is available and working for several years,
but the bindings should be clarified first.
The example shows what we are successfully using for
the working system.
Since the omap5 Pyra Handheld is not yet in the DTS tree,
there would be no explicit user of this driver. So
the plan is to submit a full patch set for the Pyra
later.
