Ok, so you can link up to a gp32 with the USB linkup, and it can communicate with your PC.

Most PCs have two USB ports.

What if you connected to Gp32s to your pc ,and ran a program that handles communication between the two using the USB port.

The game would send information to the PC using USB like the pc link and be able to recieve it, Therefore wouldnt multiplayer gaming be easier to work at faster speeds?

I was thinking playing games like doom between gp32s would become a possibility??? is my idea feasable?

WHY?
If you are going to play a portable system, hooked up to your PC, what, really, is the point? Why not just play the PC.

Its already possible through the GP32 RF link, which is wireless. The developers just have to program suppot for it in their games. But most of us dont have two gp32's with two RF links to test the development on.

I believe I am the only person in the uk county of wiltshire with one!
All the dumb people at my school say.
Whats that?
Isay: A korean gameboy.
They say: ok I'm going to go pick my nose in that corner over there!

Not to mention on of them tried to nick it out of my zipped up huge pikachu gameboy carry case!!!
What an idiot!

Its not nay saying, its probably simple to do really. But its stupid. There is a big difference. Thats like pluging your car cd player, into an outlet in the house, WTF is the point?

If you are going to have it hooked up to your PC, why not just hook up 2 gamepads to those USB ports and play the games on the PC?

Think about this...

What if you don't own many computer multiplayer games?

What about having a slow computer and a fast internet connection?

What if your friend doesn't have the same online games as you, except they do on a GP32.

What if you enjoy the feel of a gp32 and wouldn't want to tie up your computer at the same time?

And the list goes on and on....

Ok, what i'm just saying is that people shouldn't complain about what other people want to do just because they don't like the idea, except if you are going to be effected by what the other person did. :)

I with Akuma no Houkon on this one; what is the point? it would completely remove the purpose of a gp- to be a portable gaming device. Also, the odds of knowing another person close enough to come over and play gp on your computer (thanks but i'll pass) are quite slim wouldn't you say?

I think most of us thought of this as:

1 PC, 2 GP32s.

But Rockout brought on an interesting point... I think he sees it as:

2 PCs (ANYWHERE in the world), 2 GP32s. This way you could play 2 player games via the internet with anyone.

In either case, I still agree with Akuma, whats the point of having a HAND HELD devices and attaching yourself to a PC? I might as well just play on the PC.

I like the idea of a GP-RF-Link to PC adapter. Then, you could have two people anywhere in the world, playing against each other, and not physically connected to the PC!
Code:
     GP32 - RF-link <-> RF-link - PC - <Internet> - PC - RF-link <-> RF-link - GP32

OK, so it needs two GP32s, 4 RF-links, two PCs, and two internet connections. And the lag would probably be horrific. But it would be kinda cool :D

How about...

The gp32 runs an .fxe game that sends USB data to the pc, and the program that handles the data on the pc sends the data to another computer in the world (by IP, youd arrange it via phone or w/e, who would be server/client etc.), and then that computer handles the data and sends it to the other persons gp32 via USB, the amount of data wouldnt be too big for USB or too big for the internet (no lag, i think..), wouldnt that open new possibilities?

Have to say I'm with the "Why bother?" squad on this one. Further more I doubt any decent gp32 developer would want to bother.

Why on earth would you want to play against another user on the internet with your gp32 via your pc, when you could play the same game on those same PCs with a much bigger screen and faster cpu?

Well if you like the look and feel of the gp32 then it would be fun to play against somebody else

This have been discussed many times before, well, atleast using USB to hook up the GP32 to the internet.

But there could be useful for some things like having a portal for downloading stuff directly to your GP32, and/or upload highscores etc.

not a completely useless idea.
