Hi,
How can I check If I have a Key Logger running??? I think my brother may have installed one on my Computer running Windows XP....

Thanks

Just start the taskman
(using CTRL-ALT-DEL or START > RUN > taskman) and look which processes are running.

Thanks... did that and theres something running Called "Rem55.exe" thats the only thing that looks different in there...

I did a search on Google and havent found anything about it... anyone else know what this is??

Thanks

Perhaps a virus with a randomised filename... run a checker. Most virus checkers can detect keyloggers/trojans!

Hmmm... no idea...

Search it on your harddisk, maybe that will help.

Other stuff you might want to check:

Check the installed services.
Check the Autostart group in the startmenu (obvious, I know ;))

Check the registry entries in:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\RunServices

These are programs which will be run during a startup of the machine.

Thanks...

Im gonna Do another Spy Bot Search and Destroy Scan, A Adaware Scan and then Panda Free online Virus scan :D

I searched for the filename and it was a .exe file that was sitting in my "Local" Folder... hhmmm

---EDIT---

hhmmmm, did the search again but this time the .EXE file has gone... Now theres a File Named "REM55.EXE-335DD699.pf" and its located in "C:\Windows\Prefetch"
