Unamerican, and just a blatant liar and sociopath. Check out his site, and find one article that DOESNT bash Bush. I know thats the trnd, but cant HE think of anything else to say?

Well, in my opinion Micheal Moore is a pretty cool guy, he doesn't lye at all, and everyone looks a good ol' Bush bashin. Although he is really fat, but that is pretty american though.

yeah he's cool imo.
He was funy as shit on jonathan Ross:
"We have a leader who's running a war and can't even find iraq on a map!"

Michael Moore is the greatest guy ever.

I'm a huge fan of his books and films, and he speaks the truth. To call him unAmerican is the typical right-wing American attitude and I dispise it.

People like Moore would change the U.S.A. for the better, but dickheads like Bush are still living with fucked-up Christian ideals that can't be applied to the real world. Every mum has the right to an abortion, it's her fucking baby.

I want anyone to tell me how a piece of land can ever be more important than the people within it, like the right-wingers feel. It's bullshit, yet it'll never change; the liberals will never have a voice in their own country.

Anyone who falls for Bush's lies is stupid.

Dont get me wrong, I am no way right wing, and I dont agree with wars for oil, or wars on "terrorism"(sp), The fuckers included my country in that , or Bush for that matter. But I still think Michael is a pure dumb ass, just my opinion though :)

It seems to me that most people who make him out as god either have no idea why he says that stuff about bush, or are complete dumbasses them selves, not even knowing what the right wing is.

You make some pretty broad sweeping statements. Just because you live in Ireland doesn't mean that you have the right to call people who do thing he's cool dumbasses.

I think he's a funny guy, his books are cool anyway.

You are extremely naïve. He has an agenda to push like everyone else.

I agree with much of what Michael Moore says because I disagree with the Bush administration and the Iraq war etc. but I have to say his books get damn boring in places. Like when he goes through every single person in the administration telling us how much they suck.

I admire Moore's political convictions. But bringing down Bush is a step away from his traditional foe - the corporate fat cats and companies that swindle, screw, cheat honest people to make money. Something that Mark Thomas is rather good at. (When he did hot air balloon rides for the public over a secret NSA base in the UK - THAT was sheer brilliance :D)

And why is bashing Bush a problem ;)

I don't think Moore is making documentaries, I don't think what he writes and says is the one and only truth (I also don't think he thinks so himself). But with the government the USA has today it's good to have someone that makes people think again.

In short: your poll does not have enough options :)

hmmm, michael moore...

personally i think his greatest work was bowling for columbine and a few of the awful truth episodes i managed to get hold of.

in bowling for columbine he uses the cold hard facts and his slightly comic style to put across a very harsh message.

however i have enjoyed the two books of his i've read (stupid white men, bowling for columbine) a lot less. the issue i have with him and politics is that hes not really very good at it. whenever you read one of his long winded chapter you'll find them to be very poorly written. he jumps about far too much and makes very tenuous (sp.) links, often he'll argue something and then link that to something completely different. its also very very very repetitive. hes not saying anything he hasnt said before on his website, in a soundbite, on the news, at the oscars, in another book.

when comparing him to another political author like naomi klein, i suddenly find his work nothing short of dumb.

Mark Thomas, now that guy was great!

what makes me laugh the most about all this bush bashing is, what did people think was the alternative.

had goore been elected the world wouldn't be too dissimilar to its current state.

neither of them would/do have any true power in office, they're both controlled by the almighty dollar.

Moore's nothing but a propagandist. I knew that as soon as I saw The Corporation. He gets away with it because his films are entertaining sensationalism, and people seem to like that. My opinion was confirmed when, in Cinema Studies here at UofT we learned that his films fit into the category of "expressive documentary". In other words, effect > accuracy. Those of you who think he only uses the truth are, well, wrong.

i personnally think hes funny, i have all his books and have seens his movies and all of the awful truth eps.

thats not to say that i agree with everything he says, and of course he doesnt tell the exact truth all the time, case in point: the thing about canada haveing less gun violence? its because we have THREE TIMES AS MANY GUNS. also, the locked doors segment is also shady, because that was just a small town in canada. i know my cousin is friends with any canadians and he says most of them lock their doors.

I personally think Al Franken is better ;)
