It's been a hard few weeks, deciding between a Zodiac or BLU. On paper, the Zodiac is the better option, but if you head over to ZodiacGamer and check out my threads there you'll understand why I'm choosing a BLU. Few things:

1. I dont have to register anymore?
2. What's the new euro firmware like, any pictures? Do I still have to use Freelauncher?
3. Can you turn the light off?

Anything else usefull much appreciated.

Getting it from GBAX.Com.

Everything you asked is allready in many other threads... Use the search function plz!!!!

If you want to test the new firmware try with GeePee32 a GP32 emulator for windows...

I beliave the EU FW was dumped and posten on the boards. And I'm sure it works with geepee32. you just need tor ename the "bios file.bin" to "FW100k.BIN"

1. You don't need to register. There is no freelauncher needed and the link program comes on a cd with the BLU
2. The euro fw can be downloaded and tried on your regular gamepark. It's simple and funtional, I'm not flashing away from it.
3. Yes, hold select for 3 seconds. It looks a *very* dark muddy brown though with it off. Just turn it off for music listening. You can't see anything with it off.

I think you are in luck if you get it from GBAX. I think they still guarantee that you will get one that goes to at least 166Mhz.

I would use a card reader it is more convienient than GPlink in my opinion.

Get the glass screen mod or do it yourself it makes the screen much better.

The BLU screen is dark with the light off, but so is the Zodiac.

Plus if you are in England you would have to send the Zodiac back to the US to get it replaced when/if it breaks or the battery wears out.

All the other questions were answered by the other guyZ :)

Sorry couldn't reZist.

GBAX are liars...as usually...every BLU my friends (and GP32spain...) tested go very easily up to 166 Mhz, even up to more than 190 Mhz...

It's only to finish selling their certified FLUs... <_<

I doubt they are lying, and it is not fair to call them liars just on superstition anyways.

Yep, I'm ordering today hopefully, my BLU that is. Sweet that it gets the 166mhz upgrade.

I wanted a case too...but it says out of stock. Ah well.

The BLU it is.

I got my original from GBAX, excellent service.

Just ordered from GBAX.Com.

Lol, it's hilarious isnt it....getting excited about playing 10 year (and more) games.

I love, I just love it.

Thanks for the reecommendations of the case there. I'll have a look for it in a UK shop.

Thing is though, when I'm walking around shoving it peoples faces, they'll think I have A GBA. Ha Ha Ha.

You could be a super-geek like me, and cut off the nintendo logo with an x-acto knife :D
