Hi all,

I am trying to scope out how I can go about improving the DBPUtils script a bit by making it as easy as I can for developers to port their Apps to the Pyra without configuring stuff that i'd be wasting time on.

It's much appreciated :)

I use Squashfs as Format because ISO doesn't seem to work in the dchrt chroot and i will Port VirtualGL(That Gamestreamer thing with my buggy Frontend) to the Pyra. Just to clarify my Vote :)

Hmmm, the whole "Will you port your PND" needs a third option of "Some of them"...

Can't answer the yes/no questions 5, 6, and 8, because I just don't know. But it's only one PND.

I guess the results are quite clear

People keep PND Data Source AND PNDs

People don't seem to care about a batch PND extraction Utility

People do keep the PXML and icon inside the PND package

People keep their PNDs in SquashFS Format

People are happy to port their PND to Pyra and will be getting a Pyra.

People are interested in a Utility that seamlessly transitions from Pandora to Pyra

People want an Upload to Repo Utility

Thanks for the insight, this will help me decide which direction to go with DBPUtils.

Just a small precision, lately, following Notaz' advise, I started using "xz" compression variant of SquashFS to gain some extra space...

XZ is good for compression, but when I tried it on PySolFC, startup time grew to over an unacceptable minute. That was several SZ releases ago, it might not be that bad now (and obviously depends on what the application is doing.

Yes, I can see when profiling that sometimes you see an XZ part taking some cpu (like 2 to 3%)... It all depends of the app.
