I've got a new draft of my new Standard Reply to Flamers.

I encourage everyone to copy it somewhere and when anyone tries to start a fued between handhelds, they post this verbatim and leave it at that. Let there be no more flames! Just paste this in and move along and lock the topic, and maybe after awhile we'll get some decency :)

(see my posting in CaSTaway/GP board here on gp32x for how this came aorund :)

Standard Reply to Flaming Asswads: v1.01
------------------------------------------
You've chosen to flame _______ (insert GP32 or Zodiac at your leisure) or compare ______ (GP32 or Zodiac) to _______ (GP32 or Zodiac), and by doing so have demonstrated the fact you haven't got the information or clue enough in order to use either effectively. Both devices are underdogs waging a great war to open up the gaming market to new things and homebrew, and you should learn to appreciate what you have before trying to knock down something you know very little about. Flaming either device only aggravates everyone involved and makes people less interested in you -- instead, be a leader and builder.. construct new and greater things.. or shut the hell up.

Nice one mate - it's funny going to between boards such as this one and Zodiacgamers. You're right, it's the same old crap on either side, only the name of the machine changes...

Can we add PocketPC in there as well :)

Only kidding - just picked up an 600+Mhz X30, looking forward to trying the PSOne emu. No good forums though. Even PDArcade's are empty compared to this.

Oh - and you going to post this at Zodiacgamer too ;)

[edity-edit]
Oops - see you have already. Top banana.

All game console message boards, no matter what kind (open-dev or commercial-only) will always have so-called flamers and famboys trying to find new reasons for why their system of choice. Peacekeeping efforts are usually futile.

I user to try and promote multi-system unity mong the SNES and Genesis crowd and the PS2/Gamecube/XBOX crowds on the gamefaqs boards, but these days I realize it can just never be.

Currently waiting on my GP32BLU...my first GP32 which will hopefully not be my last GP32. I haven't played anything on the Zodiac just yet, but am very curious about how well it performs and what kinds of things can be done with it. The GP32 I HAVE played with, and have been very impressed with, but for some reason held of for sooo long on buying one.

I can't wait for the 25th to get here and check it out.

Has anyone here spent considerable time with a Zodiac? If so, what do you think of it?

You'll love the GP for sure :)

However as to comparing Z and GP32.. theres lots of other threads (granted, mostly full of flaming) to check, so best go to those threads instead of this one.

(/me ducks impending Z vs GP flamewar ;)

the war still rages on, i expect u all remember the following rivalries

Speccy/c64
AtariST/Amiga
Megadrive/Snes

Its a shame this always happens. As far as i'm concerned all the machines have their merits and i'm just happy I can now have them all again on a tiny handeheld regardles of which one it is (Still praying for some bright soul to do an Amiga emu on gp32)

Cool. Wasn't trying to fan the flames of war here...I am just a little curious about the Zodiac since it's now the only handheld I don't currently own. I'll chack out some of those other posts though, so nothing bad erupts here. Pardon my newness!
