Quick question. Does anyone have ideas/recommendations re keeping nasty scratches off our shiny new Pyrae (or whatever the plural of Pyra is. Or is it that the singular is Pyrus /jk)?

Might as well spend the time waiting, on the purchasing of superfluous accessories...

On that note, any other recommendations for accessories?

I don't plan to do much to keep scratches off of the case of mine, as there won't be paint this time. There were discussions about a silicone skin I think. Also a thingy to plug the ports when not in use. I don't think that went beyond talk.

For the screen, I will probably cut a tablet screen protector to fit. Unfortunately all I have right now are glossy ones.

For carrying cases and such, it is about the same size as the original Game Boy, so it can fit in those cases and holsters. There are probably plenty of others that will work. For times when I need to carry HDDs I use a smallish pelican case, and I sometimes throw my Pandora in there too. I will probably continue to do that with my Pyra.

On the one assembly video, ED also shows how scratch resistant the new case is..
I carry my Pandora the whole time in my Workpands Sidepoket, and unless some scratches, there aren't big problems whit it yet..

I ditnt have a screen protector on my Pandora, because it's protected due to its lokation between the too Case parts when it's closed..

yeah, that's the nice thing about clamshell, don't really need a screen protector unless you're using darts for your stylus... (jk @Grench)

oh, and batteries. i'll get me an extra one, probably.

I'd get a cheap homebrand Galaxy S4-S7 screen protector and cut it down with scissors.
That's what I did with the PSP at least.

Don't forget it has a resistive touchscreen.

Some official screen protector would be appreciated though, as I like to use them with my systems. On my various DS iterations, I've a variety of screen protectors, and there's a big difference between cheaper ones and more expensive branded ones in my experience. On my Pandora I had to use a cheap cut-your-own-size protector though, and that is showing some wear (although mostly I use the nubs and the keyboard for navigating the system and games). So an official Pyra screen protector made out of some clear plastic that's not too soft would be appreciated by me.

The Pandora was known to have the same screen as the Archos 605, though, its screen protectors fit pretty well - at some point you could even find some that were explicitly pre-cut for the Pandora.
