how about an *.* To Moviepark compatibale format video converter for PC would be great.
No frills u just load the file in what ever format (DVD rip, AVI, MOV, MPEG2, etc) pick the quality Low/Med/High and possibly the "style" eg catroon/action/drama/etc (so the program can tweek performance to style) then the program will give you a read out of the final file size. You can edit the quality to lower or raise the end file size etc. You hit compile/convert/whatever and it sticks the files in a Moviepark format/size/bitrate no worries no fussing just load>select>click>wait>download to sms.

I know many probaly like the control they have under the current system but id love to just load up(one program), select quality, batch render 5 movies and go out for the aftonoon while they do their thing, no fuss or messing also this would help n00bs (like me) no end.

Would be nice, doubt its gonna happen any time soon or have i missed out on some great newss and somthing like this is already under way ?(crosses fingers)

There is somrthing like that at the JoyGP site, MovieLink only thing is that it just encodes one way, which is usually bad quality.

movielink blows but is good for people who are cluelss about video encoding. Virtual dub rocks but if you are having trouble with it just find some vdub settings load them up then pick your video file click save and let it do its thing. Thats really not that hard.

Yeh ive got Vdub doing its thing its just the 3 - 4 program step form Ripping DVD to getting a playable movie thats a bit of a drag. can Vdub bach render a bunch of movies one after the other ?

Yeah, just check "Don't run this job now..." when you save your file. Do that to all the vids you want it to work on, and then select "Job Control" from the File menu and hit "Start".

i've been thinking about encoding a movie or two in vdub... but don't want to take up all the space on my SMC.

tell me folks, with a pretty good quality, what kind of size per movie am i looking at?
