Volt Mod?

I have a BLU it runs at 166mhz but nothing over it, if i were to have a volt mod done would i see an increase in speed?

If so what voltage would the cpu have to be at to see lets say an increase between 180-200mhz.

volt mod allways gives a speed incrase, but you can say xxv=xxxmhz you have to try, you will at least reach 172-180mhz i would say, also where are you from? (why is noone filling out the location field? that annoying!)
 
What's even more annoying is that hardly anybody bothers to read the locations of those who do fill it in. (Ex: When I tried to sell some stuff in the marketplace forums, people automatically assumed I was from the UK, obviously I'm not, since my location thingy says "Bartlesville, OK" and Oklahoma is a state in the US.)

I had pretty good luck using a 68k resistor on R48 and a 120k resistor on R52. The 68k will have these colored stripes "Blue Gray Orange Gold", the 120k will have "Brown Red Yellow Gold". The colored stripes have to be in that order and last one "gold" is on all showing its tolerance, in my case it's 5%.

This combo gave 184 mhz to 200 mhz. I did 2 BLU's and with the same resistors I get two different OC speeds.

I don't have a power adapter yet so I can't measure the actual voltage so I can't give you those figures, but it's a good starting point.

According to Robsters web site, the above combo should give 1.9583 volts.

I'm from the u.k i am planning on sending my gp32 into console fix but i wanted to see if i would even get a speed increase.

According to Dozers review of console fix service they put the the core voltage to 1.944 so according to cobbleware that means them guys probably use a combination of 100k and 180k.

Has anyone tried the 47k and 82k combo which gives 1.9665 core voltage?

How dangerous is this?


Another thing do you reckon that console fix will use diffrent resistor values if i ask them?

hmm any experience with non flu/blu..
i have a normal gp32.. and want to make the mod..
it goes up to 150mhz over that it freezes..
what can i reach if i do the mod
 
hmm i didn't ask for a supreme formula for working out oc.


I simply asked weither anyone has volt modded their gp32 to 1.9665 core voltage and succeded in not having the thing blown up.

I don't suppose everyone knows your foreign abbreviations for your states. ;)

hehheh thats true Memnoch the devil you americans have like some crazy names for places, you got to cut us islanders some slack i mean come if i started driving west for 3-4 hours i will be in the bloody ocean.

OmarNawaz: My GP32 is set to 1.995 volts, and it's been fine for a year or so. No guarantees for you, but I'm pretty sure it will be fine :)

I've just got a BLU, so I'm going to do an experiment with my old non-lit gp32, see how high the voltage can go before something goes wrong...
