Splinter Cell is so terrible. I would have given it a 3 out of 10 at most, it's dull, boring and slow.
I thought I was the only one. Then again, I find MGS very fun, but Splinter Cell has nothing on it.
I think that is why Im compelled to complete a MGS game, whereas a splinter cell one just gets fucked in the corner. Splinter cell's story line sucks donkey dick, where as I always enjoyed the MGS ones.

Wow, Pink hates some of the all-time great games!

I don't like stealth games, so I guess Thief, Splinter Cell etc would make my list. Though I loved Metal Gear Solid 1&2 so... hmm...

PS Winning Eleven/Pro Evo is football, FIFA is shite.
Pro Evo and Winning 11 are most definatley football as was kickoff 2

Please add the following to the shit list

All EA games

Especially the FIFA soccer series and Medal of Honor.

Some dumb ass people actually believe you can play EA games.

The thing is they are just rolling demo's there is no interaction.

You might as well watch day time TV
Yes... indeed EA do suck big donkey balls 90% of the time.

Need for speed underground is an EA game and is excellent :).
but in comparison to Burnout 2 is it really that good, and B2 sold crap all

EA games are average, not crap, but they enjoy sales that shouldn't be enjoyed by annually average games

I assumed Timesplitters (1+2) was seen as shit, because me and all my mates find it appaulingly bad. Most first person shooters are crap on consoles are however.

I know this post is old but i just found it and i had to add a reply. Pinkspider are you fuckin joking??? You know nothing about games.
HALO
Resident Evil
Super Mario 64
Goldeneye
TimeSplitters
Commend And Conquer RA2
GTA Vice City
Silent Hill
Zelda (3D ones)
Tekken (after 3)
Virtua Fighter
Any Racing Sim

These games are crap??????
HALO & Goldeneye - you have no mates as multiplayer on both games is immense

Res Evil & Silent Hill - Both have good plots and are relitively hard

GTA VC - Great soundtrack, great gameplay, but does become repeative

Any racing sim?? including Gran Turismo??? ERmmmm what??? Amazing gameplay, graphics always pushing boundaries on all consoles released on.

Supermario - good laugh not crap tho. not amazing

Also did you say that ALL sports games are crap??????
ERmmm Pro Evo (2,3) is Football. fifa games after 99 are gash.
Madden 2004 is fuckin amazing.
Tigerwoods 2003/4 same.

I am not goin to comment on the other ones as you are right.

Here are my fav games......

Sonic/2 (MD)
Counterstrike (PC)
Supermario (NES)
Street Fighter 2 (SNES)
Goldeneye (N64)
C&C - Red Alert (PC)
Pro Evo 3 (PS2)
Tigerwoods 2004 (PS2)
Madden 2004 (PS2)
Mario Kart DD (GC)
Mario Kart (N64)
HALO (Xbox)
MGS (PS)

Try ripping these apart, they are some of the best games ever made, if your at uni or have any friends then you will realise the importance of good multiplayer games. g2g Pro evo round robin is kicking off.

yay! :)

everybody hates Splinter Cell. :D

When I first played the first MGS, I loved it. I thought the second one was great too.

Then everybody started saying, "You must play Splinter Cell". I gave it a try and it is awful. It reminded me of how much I has alwasy hated the awful Syphon Filter PSone games.

btw- The most overrated game ever must be Goldeneye. Just because it was on a console, everyone loved it. Its boring and bland and slow. I even know people who still think its the best FPS ever. Muppets.

wtf- this is from August? :(

I played MGS1, enjoyed it a little (I disliked it for the story, if i wanted to watch a film id watch a film, i play a game to play a game)

I then played Splinter Cell, enjoyed it at the start, but was quickly appauled by the difficulty curve resemblig as sin(x) graph

So i went back to MGS:Twin Snakes on Gamecube

HATED IT, what the fuck is up with the camera!!!!!!

I quite like it when the genres of Film and Games come together. It makes the whole experience of playing seem more worthwhile, whilst also getting the satisfaction of actually taking part.

I think this is why i liked MGS2 so much, when so many others seemed to hate it.

I like it if I can push START to skip

if i get home, am eating dinner in 15 minutes i dont wanna have to watch a fucking movie clip, get halfway thru and realise i cant save

I have never EVER paid any attention to a story in a game

how would u like it if u were watching a film and u had to complete a game of Tetris to watch the next part, if you were only interested in watching the film

I know its an old topic but i felt i had to post.
Goldeneye is THE best FPS on a console thats what makes it so good, its accessible to everyone not just PC users who already had a plethora of FPS. Its not overrated at all, get 3 mates, an N64, a copy of goldeneye and some drink penalties and ur set. Its a fucking ace game, i used to take my N64 to school and have Goldeneye tournements at Lunch and it seemed pretty popular then.
Goldeneye made the N64 what it was. End.

Ps MGS was a laugh some new stuff thats y i liked it, syphon filter was gash. Splinter cell was a V.good game but lacked replay value + its not that hard.

Would you please relax? Hes just stating an opinion.....

I would have to disagree with most of it but heres my stand:

HALO-Its ok not great

Resident Evil-I like it but its very confusing and some of the puzzles are down right impossible

Super Mario 64-I love this game so I gotta disagree

Goldeneye-Same as above(Maybe I'm a Nintendo fan boy)

TimeSplitters-Never played them

Commend And Conquer RA2-Played and own but didn't give it much of a chance so no stand

GTA Vice City-AGREEE!!!! This game is for 10 year olds that are amazed and think this is the first game with guns.....

Silent Hill-Same as Resident Evil

Zelda (3D ones)-I liked Ocarina of Time alot but I would have to agree a little

Tekken (after 3)-I'm a big tekken tag fan but I do hate 4 alot.

Virtua Fighter-I like fighting games and this one is good but I don't know too many of the moves so I can't really rate

Any Racing Sim-Agree they are repetetive to me

My opinions :p

HALO-Average shooter. Play a REAL good FPS. (ie unreal tournament, Raven sheild)

Resident Evil-Pretty awesome games just darn hard puzzles.

Super Mario 64-Good gets boring quickly for me

Goldeneye-OMG everyone raved and raved and I played it and it was crap. Nuff said. Nice graphics though. Perfect Dark shits over this.

TimeSplitters-1st one shite, 2nd never played

Commend And Conquer RA2- Crap, red alert one and C&C are 2 of the best.

GTA Vice City-Loved it better than GTA. Mafia just as good.

Silent Hill-Good

Zelda (3D ones)-Ok

Tekken (after 3)-Tekken Tag BEST EVER. Tekken 4 SHITEST ever

Virtua Fighter-Ok though pretty dodgy.

Any Racing Sim-Gran Turismo only. Oh and I love rally games.

Timesplitters 2 on the Gamecube was dev'ed by the same crack team who did Goldeneye on N64 AFAIK.

The best multiplayer level is the Chinese Restaurant with Gingerbread men as bots and Monkey Assault Squad switched on with miniguns aplenty! [The secondary weapon for the minigun keeps the barrels spinning, so they dont have to spin up to shoot)

The best single player level is the one based on Bladerunner which copies the Chinese underground with the rain scene (where Deckard is looking for the snake) . V. Atmospheric!

I'm only writing this since a lot of people seem not to have played this game, and it is very under rated.
