What are you playing this weekend/these days?

Genesys Alpha One

They could have called it "In space many people can hear you scream" !!
It is a really cool game, you'll have to collect resources from planets to upgrade your ship and to improve your cloned crew, while dealing with aliens infestations and attacks on the ship.
Particularly infestations are cool... when you think that everything is going good, you just walk in that part of the ship left alone for a while just to find out that it's completely covered with goo and eggs... that naturally will immediately release a wave of xenomorphs in your direction !!

I read a lot of reviews that says somehow the same bad things about the game:
- It is repetitive
- It lack contents
- How the infestation works has no sense

I can understand the first 2, because, especially at the beginning, you'll have to do all by yourself, because the crew is still dumb, and you have very few things to do, but at some point, your crew will level up and could be improved, actually helping you cleaning the ship without babysitting them, and leaving you the time to do something else, like adding to the ship those new shiny facilities you have discovered to better defend or improve it.
There is a lot of content to be discovered indeed, with time, but most of those things are mostly juts a little more reskins... for example the enemy factions that will attack the ship with weapons in hands... they are visibly different, with different weapons and different skills, but still they attack at the same way: they will be teleported in a random room, destroying the energy lines and killing everyone in the way.
The impression is that, even if in reality, a group can literally "steal" your facilities, another will grab your stored materials, another will abduct your crew members, etc...

For the infestation, well, I think it is almost perfect how it works, and it is the main thing that will make you build the ship in a logical way.
Aliens and spores can enter the ship in 3 main different way:
- When teleporting material inside the ship
- When returning from a planet mission
- When returning from a destroyed ship

So most people just think that putting these facilities far from the other rooms is sufficient... and it is not !

The spreading could work this way:
- Robots gets materials from the teleport, and the mission ships, to move it to the Stores, and if the material contains spores, them could be spread all the way to the store !!
- Robots also get material from the store to the refinery, and even during the refining process, something can come out from those stuff !!
- If an infestation is in act near the crew, they can become sick, and go to their rooms to recover, but leaving spores all the way !!
- Also, all the ship has a sub level that connects all the rooms, and if the infestation starts there it can easily cover the entire base.

Some aliens needs to be alive to spread his species, while for others there are cloud spores that makes goo that grows eggs, so you'll have to deal with all the spores before the infestation ends... other types of infestations don't release aliens, but damages the ship, etc...

It is damn difficult at the beginning, and I had to evade most of the stuff found in space to not die... I had also to flee from a direct attack from an enemy ship destroyer.

I finished only one time, but I still have a lot of stuff to unlock, and places to visit that I evaded before.
Anyway, I really hope for more added contents, or even DLC with worthy stuff in them, because I never seen a game like this before, and it really deserve to be improved !!

I have finished Undertale (good ending) on the Pandora. It's running fine with some occasional slowdowns.
It's cute and pretty well-made on all fronts (story, gameplay, music, puzzles, etc.). It didn't blow me away as much as I'd expected with all the hype it got, but it's still a nice experience.

Finished The Book of Unwritten Tales. I had a blast playing this. It's funny, had me chuckling often and gave me a few good belly laughs. The German voiceovers are brilliant, e.g. Sly Stallone as an ork, John Cleese as demented mummy or Spongebob as mean merchant. And the elf has a nice butt. This game has earned its place among my top five point-and-click adventures.
Now on with part two.

Skürüm (The Ole Rolles 5)
Did a new Charakter because i had the Idea to make she a Thief/Assassin, whit the whole fokus on pocket thief, sneaking, light armor, one hand weapons and archery ^^, works good so far, i excaped from helgen, and played the main quest until the first dragon, and inbetween i traind a bit of my thief scills by stealing some arrows from the Guards in Whiterun and then went straith to rifton to the thiefs guild..
Now i joined the Thiefs Guild, and got the Thiefs Guild Armor, my next step would be to train a bit whit teachers, seems like you can pay a teacher in pocket stealing, and then steal your money back ^^

Skürüm (The Olle Rolles 5)
Seems like the Trick i heard on a diverent boards whit paying a teacher for pocket stealing and then steal your money back dosnt work that good on my current level, at least not whit the teacher in the thiefs guild ^^, but after some training, i can now take my teaching money from some of the peaple in rifton quite easy..
only problem is now that my arrows and my money is now tagged as stolen in my inventory, but i think this shouldnd be a big issue if i dosnt let me cought from the guards.. ^^
ditnt played that much yesterday evening, i only wanted to try this trick..

I've finished Minit (main quest, looks like I've collected only half of the stuff). Played on my Pandora with Box86. It tends to slow down, especially in the late game, but it was bearable enough to let me finish.

It's a zelda-like (think early zeldas) except that every 60 seconds you die and restart at the last home you were. You keep the stuff you gathered though. There is an emphasis on puzzles, made harder by the fact that you don't want to waste time. Some puzzles or situations play on the 60 seconds limit, others are just standard puzzles. The restart mechanism makes it easier to try another path/puzzle if you're stuck somewhere, which is nice. However it can get frustrating when you have no idea if you can't solve the puzzle because you lack something or because you just didn't figure it out. Hopefully,
not all puzzles are mandatory, but there as well you don't know which are and which aren't.

So in the end, I'm a bit torn. It's cute, funny and clever at times, but it also gets frustrating at other times.

Skürüm (The Oll Rolles 5) (Switch Lite)
i stealt everything from the Pockets in Rifton and Whiterun, and i dont know how, but my Skill in Pocket Steal is now on 100 ^^
My Plan is now to level Sneaking, Lockpicking and some more Offensive Scills, Sneaking should be easy as i only need to pay a teacher and steal my Money back and anything else the same..
Im allready made this Quest where i had to steal the documents on this "Gut Goldenglanz" (i dont know what its called in english), this quest where you also have to burn down the bee hives..

I'm also playing Skyrim, and finally bought a house (Breezehome in Whiterun). Been levelling up on light armour and single-hand weapons / dual wielding. Playing on PS4 with a few mods for aesthetic improvements (it looks and feels miles better, although I don't have any achievements as a result).

I had the Idea this Weekend to buy the Game on the XBOX Store, as special Edition or how the enhanced Version is called, so i would get better graphics and maybe mod support, but then i thought that the not that good looking Switch Version had this advantage of portability even if its mean i ditnt have the Mod Support..

ducklings.io
beat the game! (700 and something points)

I finally got around to playing the Japanese version of Zelda Link's Awakening DX on my backlit GBA. I can read most of it now. And I so like that art!

On the Backlit GBA: I also ditnt played much whit this Thing, maybe because it was too less time, .. and my Switch keep me busy, but the last time i played, the buttons worked great, its just that it eats (rechargeble) Batteries.. , One Time Super Mario Land (DX) and there are empty ^^..
Its maybe more like a cool Retro Gadged than a Real Playing Mashine, expecely if you want to take it on a Journey..
But as the Pyra will also have a GBA Emulator, this isnt that big issue..

Played a bit on the Super Mario 3D Allstars Collection yesterday, just to test how got the Official Emulation was, and its work great,
I just made the first stars in Mario 64, Mario Sunshine, and Mario Galaxy, and there are quite fun..
Allthough there is a really big diverents between Mario 64 and the other Games.., maybe because the Gamecube and the Wii wherend limited to a Cardridge whit just a few mb?
