Hello, I purchased an ipod clone overhere in Belgium (Medion).
The device comes with an usb-to-go cable.
So it is perfectly possible to connect the standard gp32 usb cable to the Ipod-clone.
This device has a 20gig HD so using gpDrive on the gp32 it is possible to copy data to and from the gp32's smc-card.

Ideal for those extra files on the move...

Greetings,

Tom

I have a picture of the two devices working together but I have no idea how to include a jpeg in this message...

Greetings,

Cool! How do you copy the files across, is there some sort of file browser on the MP3 player which lets you copy stuff across?

so would this mean we could store 20gig of stuff on the ipod type thingy and copy them onto the gp on the move?
does the gp have a program to delete things from smc?

The player has indeed a small file-copy-utility...
I have just purchased the player and tested it (very quickly)... I was able to copy a mp3 file from the medion-player to the gp32 so this should proof it works I guess.... The medion-player also serves as an external usb 2 - HD for the PC... and has a slot that accepts memory-cards (digital photography-backup-device)

Tomorrow I will try some other stuff....

Wow, the Aldis here in Chicago carry Medion PCs and such, and they're pretty damn nice. I didn't know they made MP3 players, too. It looks great.. how much did it cost?

It is 200 Euro (here in Belgium) The player is not so popular on the Net. It does not come with a very good manual.... But once you figure evertyhing out (it is all very obvious) it is a great music player... This gp32-extra will come in handy i Guess....

Wasnt there a possibility to connect any Mass Storage via GPlinux?
Usually it is possible access this thingy w/o GPdrive and open files directly, so that you dont need to copy your files to smc everytime.

it sould be seriously cool to have a 20 gig hardrive for your gp32.
Imagine all the roms......
