Avi To Mpeg

i think this may have been asked but at the time i dimissed it and now that i want to know i cant find, anyways does anyone know of a good avi to mpeg program
 
how i need hlep this is realy starting to piss me off vdub will accept some avi and will not accept others the same with mpeg and will not accept any wmv and how do iconvert from one to the other

and when i try to do movies it always says there is an error after already doing so much its wasting a lot of my time

I also need help reading your post, I also needed a cylinder of oxygen once i had read it. ;) Please use full stops and spaces. It makes it so much easier for one to read and they may even be able to help you. :rolleyes:

Well, I do think MPG compression is not as effective as some avi compression codecs, like divx or xvid, so you may indeed get bigger files. And indeed, for example, .asf files are not supported by vdub, because they're Microsoft's... monopoly or something. Same goes with wmv, I should think.

What error exactly?

im not sure what error code100 meant, but the problem was i was only doing the second pass because i thought it would save the setting for the last one i did and do the first pass automaticly(it didnt).
 
You probably don't have all the codecs you need.
WMV cannot be loaded because Microsoft said so...
Old versions of Virtualdub can accept WMV, but they're hard to find.
