I downloaded the Scumm pack from there but all the games turned out to be in spanish <_<

Is there an english equivalent to that site?

I am fairly sure that thier is only one version of the scumm interpriter. The games themselves might be causing a problems so just look around or purchase english versions fo the games if that is the language if you prefer.

Thing is - i have dott and sam n max already on pc (talkie versions) but i'm really not sure how to convert the different files into .000 .001 etc.

Well, DOTT you just copy all the .000 and .001 files across (along with the floppy Monster.sou file if you want sound effects; the talkie one is too big :( ).

For Sam/Max, just rename the .s01 etc. files to .001 and repeat.

Other games just need the lot copied over (Indy 3, Monkey 1 (and 2?)... Zak 256 (which does exist, although by the time you've spent 8 hours trying to find the thing, you'll begin to wonder)). It depends on the generation of SCUMM you're using (see the sourceforge ScummVM project page for more details).

Um - I used the "non-talk" sound file of DOTT in place of the large .sou file from my CD version, but it didn't work. When the text came up, it wouldn't progress. It looked as if the game was looking for the next bit of "speech" and wouldn't go on until someone spoke... Had to get the disk version of the game! :(
