cleaning the gp32

I normally just run it under the tap, or stick in the dishwasher.

I reserve the right to talk crap

a little squirt of glass cleaner and the lens cloth from your sunglasses should be fine

Never did.

If it gets dusty I wipe it with my t-shirt :p

Keep your grubby fingerprints off it and the screen will be fine !

I use guitar polish, applied sparingly with a lens cloth, on the screen. It puts a coating on it to resist scratches (I've used it on my Palm Vx, which has a touchscreen, for years, - and it works!), and any dust can be just blown away.
For the edges I use a cheap miniature battery powered vacuum cleaner - the kind sold for cleaning keyboards etc.

Hydrochloric acid and a sandblaster.

</smartarse>

I use a compressed air can to get dust off the screen, and anything that it can't get comes under the mighty lash of a CD wipe.

Can you all stop talking shit.

The best thing to use is freshly squeezed lemon juice. Thats right freshly squeezed, then apply sparingly with a brush. Pure bristle brush. Allow to dry, then give it quick polish with a chamois cloth. You then have to get some bee's wax and polish a bit on (You can get the bee's wax in saisburys or Wal-mart) , gives it a nice shine and smell and anti-reflective coating.

For scratches, if you live in the uk, you know that T-CUT (Yup the stuff you use on cars) is brilliant, use the mettallic ones.

My two pennies worth.

ive had my gp32 for a couple of days, but that plastic cover thing bubbled up on me, so it makes it hard to see

Right i'm being serious now:

I use dry kitchen roll, just masage it firmly (not hard) on the screen for a few minutes and those pesky finger prints disappear.

The manual states not to use any liquids whilst cleaning it Ithink thats pretty sound advice.

:D

Yeah, most LCD screens have a wierd anti-reflective coating and its generally a bad idea to use any sort of cleaning fluid on them.

You can proabably use laptop screen cleaning wipes, since I imagine they are they same thing.

Probably.

Axeman, Your taking the piss.. The Yaks piss.. LOL

Good to see some sense of humour on the board..!

:D

Bump! So what's the best guys?

I plan to purchase either a:
lens cleaning kit, or
guitar polish

Or has anybody actually discovered these things to be harmful/degrading? Should I stick with just dry kitchen roll? I'm so confused!
