Metal Gear 1 and 2 for the NES just aren't very good. They're very hard to enjoy. I would try the MSs for the NES, but if they're still bad there, don't bother.

Anyone know how you crawl through the fence in Metal Gear 2 on the MSX using fMSX32? I've tried every key on the keyboard.

Also when the sarge tells me to talk to someone on a different freqency, I can never get through on the freq he tells me :(

Hit both the weapon attack and punch buttons together.

You should find everything you need to know about the game here:

I know! Metal Gear is SO frustrating as you can't actually sneak past anything! Metal Gear: Ghost Babel for the GBC is quite cool, though.

was jus browsing n found this,.... anyways,... i have no idea about emulators or anything,.. mabey sumone could give me a quick tutorial?.... i really badly wanna play metal gear,... i used to have it for NES but sold it on ebay making a pretty penny but at the same time losing a gem in gaming history,...

Snakes Revenge was one of the first NES games i finished when i was young.. Its really hard at points, but so fun. I dont remember much about it, but for some reason the 'level' on the boat really stands out in my mind.

You really have to be careful and sneak around a lot in the beginning. It takes a while before you learn the enemies range of sight and sound is. Wow, i really need to play this again! I still have a copy on NES i think.

Yeah I liked Snake's Revenge too. I found it definitely hard, but worth playing.
Here's a pic of my NES cartridge :)

It's made with my phone-cam, that's why the quality's bad. <_<
