How long will you play/develop games for gamepark?

That's true, but I'm affraid that when I buy a Gamepark, (it's 3 years old) some other ppl how have can make games and stuff for the gamepark have bought something else, you got that? And because I am just 14 and don't really have a lot to spend it's very important. Another problem is that I don't know if the Gamepark is powerfull enough, so I am hoping an upgrade will come out. Then I'm sure that I buy an Gp32

If Multimedia fusion really will be able to export to gp32 compatible files, you can bet I'll be making games for the gp32 too!

On the other hand, if there is a successor to the GP32 and in gamepark's forum, Gamepark continuously give the old "We can't comment on that, or it's confidential" which is a lot more positive than the "(insert company name here) has no plans for a (*****) in the future" routine.

So I'm thinking positively.

On the other hand, what good is a future Gamepark handheld whether it be 64 bit or even 256 bit unless things will be made to reach the potential of that system, There has got to be something on the new systems that showcase the power and potential of the system

We love the GP32, I'd say the greatest reason would be so we can play games that are 10 years old (in the least) or older!

This is a 32 bit machine afterall

Yeah, I think prototypes showed up in late 2000?

And in related news the GP32 has got some very unexpected commercial support coming soon, but i can't explain anymore yet, its something suprising and much requested though.

i don't care who releases what for the GP32 - I bought mine cause it could play NES and PC Engine games, and since that time it's just improved all that much more. I can't wait to see a Mame update, and if we ever see a better SNES emulator, than I am gonna have to definitely upgrade from FLU to BLU for the long haul.

This little system is all that it is because of the HB/emu dev's, and of course the whole little scene right here on GP32x - whether or not gamepark as a company goes anywhere beyond where it's at is irrelevant. Just keep churning out the things so people can keep picking it up!!

as for "surprises" and etc from gamepark, i'll not hold my breath, everything that happens with/from them is always either a sidestep or a misstep - other than the fact that they actually released a BLU unit, followed by one which was only kinda (alright, mostly) supportive fo the past software, then it's always been sketchy. But that adds to the appeal, in a strange way..!

Weird stuff, but I just like the GP32. Even if it doesnt do anything at all...
(I'm not exchaning my gp32 for a broken one, if thats what you think ;) )

:p
No, but I just don't know if I am going to wait a lonlonglong time to save money and buy a Gizmondo and games, or if I save money and buy an gamepark in 2 months, but I can not make games or something so when every1 else does't use their gamepark anymore I bought my gp32_console for nothing :(

Um, except for the *many thousands* of games already playable on it, from the NES, c64, ZX Spectrum, Atari ST, Genesis, SNES, Gameboy Color, Sega Master System, PC Engine, MSX, MAME, Atari 800 and others...

There are more fantastic games available on the GP32 than you could possibly play in the next 20 years!

Korean Daily News

Korean Handheld maker buys the "Revenge of the nerds liscence"

Says Gamepark head, "We're very exciting about buying the rights to develop games of this hot property, we at Gamepark feel very confident that we're going to revolutionize the handheld gaming community with these great games, naturally, once the studio agreed to let us buy the liscence, we scrapped development on all other titles and scrapped the contracts we had with Capcom and Lucasarts and focused all our attention on the development of "Revenge of the nerds 32", described as Pacman with twist, and a few more colours, Gamepark's pretty sure investor's are going to be excited about future prospects at Gamepark.....
